Note: I covered the original version of this back in 2020, but it's just had a big update with some gorgeous new visuals, some fun new additions and a familiar looking secret level! The video features 100% playthroughs of both levels.

I love how well thought out this is, it isn't just some dumb "mario but with a gun" joke but an actual concept for how a mario game could work as a first person shooter. I hope whoever is working on this decides to make it its own thing, because it could definitely hold up on its own and probably make an interesting game.

However, one should't Shy guy way from experimenting. At first it might feel like you've hit a wall, but further down the pipeline you might struck gold. There are many who will oppose you, walk all over you, throw you into a pit of despair, but don't listen to the jerks who just want to Ba-bomb your efforts. Stick to your princessples. It may be success just lies in another castle. Remember: what doesn't kill you, makes you fall into a lava pit, trying to make a jump, over and over again.
