Power switch replaced with electrical switch

I feel the heat right at my legs all the time and it runs pretty hot when I’m playing something like Cyberpunk on Ultra on my 3080.

My ASROCK Taichi motherboard is showing error code 00. I took out my 8700k to check for bent pins in the socket and ended up finding these different looking contact points on the chip. Could this be causing my issue?

I just got this in the mail. Now I feel I should have gotten a 4090. Am I crazy?
