Well, I like RT and DLSS, and AMD didn’t have a competitor to the 4090. I want to support the underdog, but they’re the underdog for a reason. If performance and features were equal I would buy an AMD card in a heartbeat. I may even be willing to pay a (very) small premium for them, like I did for an RX 580 over a GTX 1060 when I first built a PC.

I’m not spending loads of money on a graphics card to not have the best graphics options available.

I switched from Nvidia to AMD for last 2 cards. It was a matter of getting more performance at same price. That savings comes at a cost.
I need to be prepared to rollback drivers after every update. While this is true with Nvidia as well, I’ve found AMD to be more buggy more often.
RT is barely useable. With the rare exception of games that partner with AMD, most games cannot run full RT on AMD and maintain a comfortable frame rate.
Frame generation is nowhere near as good.
Are the AMD cards bad? I wouldn’t say that. But I’m experienced with customizing configurations to get things to work and I really shouldn’t have to with current technology. It is more than a casual user should have to deal with. Their marketing is almost nonexistent compared to Nvidia. Nvidia just more robust.
I’m really not sure if I’ll go back with next upgrade. Depends on pricing I suppose. But to be honest, if Nvidia were more competitive price wise at mid tier x060/70 cards, AMD would probably vanish from GPU market.
