everyone please help us solve the eye puzzles and the cauldron

  3. SynchroScale

I was like that with Assassin’s Creed way back, but then I fell off after Unity.

  4. sleepycapybara

All of Remedy’s games. It’s such a treat when you’ve played most of them and the lore goes so deep.

    Fallout

Dark Souls (though it’s a bit too complex to follow)

Elden Ring (though it’s a bit too complex to follow)

    Warframe

    Resident Evil

    ARK

Destiny (if they didn’t rip content out and lock more story behind a missable battle pass)

  6. introspectivebrownie

Metroid lately- just feels there is so much more story to tell with the space side of thing and individual species

  7. DiotheThotslayer

    The Soulsborne Games, especially Bloodborne

  8. JustAJokeAccount

Before it was RE, Splinter Cell, MGS, The Division, Mass Effect

  9. Tecca101

I’m looking forward to the wrap up of Destiny 2s story, hope its worth the 10 year journey.

Fallout is easily the top one for me. Loved the lore & universe since I first played Fallout 2 back in 90’s.

    Edit: love the picture!

Call me basic fromsoft games, dark souls, bloodborne and the others have just such a prominent community in that regard some things are pulled out of their Assessment but even that can be interesting how individuals would interpret some level Designs and so on

  12. Millera34

Fallout,Halo and They are equals all the books and movies cannot quench my thirst

  13. project-shasta

The whole backstory of Outer Wilds is just heartwarming and gut wrenching at the same time. Especially when you add the DLC into the mix.

  14. WraithCadmus

In spite of only playing a couple of them, Mega Man.

It’s interesting to see how our view of robots/androids/artificial people has evolved as our ability to build them has. Similar story with Transformers, in the comics they once saved Optimums Prime’s brain onto a floppy disk, probably wouldn’t work these days.

  15. Dwarven_Bard

    Elder Scrolls: Morrowind.

I swear, explaining Dagoth Ur’s inverse soul world-is-an-extension-of-himself shit to a girlfriend will get me institutionalized.

Planescape: Torment is a close second. I swear, Obsidians old boomer writers left so many things to discover.

  16. RandomInSpace

The Love Nikki games’ lore is freaking insane when you dig past the cute happy dress up app exterior

  17. MindStranger

Silent Hill. Was reading Plot Analysis night after night.

  18. Realkevinnash59

    Elder Scrolls

    Hitman

    Fallout

    Doom

    Halflife

  19. Chronoboy1987

Zelda, Castlevania, Metal Gear, Trails in the Sky series, Mass Effect, Yoko Taro-verse

  20. LaserGadgets

Fallout and Dishonored. Not just great lore, the design of the weapons, furniture, cars, vehicless, industrial equipment…its all so awesome and believeable!

  21. Equiliari

I am not really SUPER into it, but it is the game universe I know and care the most about; StarCraft.

  22. CmderVimes

I am not big on single-player games. That doesn’t mean I don’t like a good story. Tiptoetank has a youtube lore channel, and they have gotten me excited about a lot of stories. My current favorite one is the Remedyvers. So Alan Wake and Control currently. Doom’s (2016 and eternal) lore is really good, too.

  23. just_some_rando21

FNAF. I know it’s a boring pick but I’m talking the lore from fnaf 1 till help wanted 1, security breach was terrible for the games lore but to be fair ruin and help wanted 2 kinda fixed it…. Kinda.

  24. Educational_Path_867

Not really a lore but for me its the News Ticker in Cookie Clicker

  25. Maeglin16

Horizon. Haven’t played Forbidden West yet.

  26. LithiuMart

    The first Half-Life.

You realise the sample was from Xen, the rescue team turns out to be a cleanup, theres the shocking discovery that creatures from Xen have been bought back to be studied and so on.

It’s deep, interesting and there are revelations throughout.

  27. Baldur’s Gate, especially the 3rd part.
    That’s truly a GEM 💎

  28. Tschnitzl-sama

ARK and League of Legends. Both games are tainted with a lot of critique and cliches but both worlds have undeniably amazing lore.

  29. EliasHobeika

Bloodborne baby. There’s a whole book called the paleblood hunt that talks about it. One of the coolest universes in all of fiction imo.

  30. Jayk_Dos31

    Fallout

    Mass Effect

    Dragon Age

    Half Life
