Scientific talk here,
When you are fabricating big transistors(50nm things), there’s isn’t much effect of Magnetism due to bunch of electrons moving in different directions
But when you start making the transistors smaller like 4-5nm process, which is equivalent to 5-20 Atom Width(1nm is 10 Å, size of a Hydrogen atom is 0.529 Å approx), charge attraction and repulsions become a pain in ass
Plus let alone be the R&D required to design a method to make such small connections in a Format that it makes a processor…
If you try to understand the complexity of the system, one will realise that what we pay to buy Processors is far too less according to complexity of the design, sole credit for prices goes to Mass Manufacturing
However I have no idea on how many times price increase

TSMCs N3 and Intel 3 are important nodes for both – they’re both fabs’ last FINFET nodes. They’re going to be ordered by customers for a while, and future nodes with GAAFET are going to be costly.
