Edit: the sticker on the antistatic bag the GPU was in has its sticker still intact, and I don’t seem to be missing any component

did you pay for them to test it before shipping out?

That is an expensive new component, I would not take it if the seal was tampered with in any way. Send it back and demand a new one.

Can be just open by seller to check goods. Check pci slot if it clean card wasnt installed on pc.

Check to make sure the serial number from gpu matched the box.

If the gpu is still in an anti static bag and with all the plastic on it still for you to remove, that’s good.

Verify all other things typically included with this gpu, are in the box.

Check gpu itself to see if any scratches or anything at all that would indicate it’s used.

These are things you can check to see if it’s actually new or not. Also if the serial number is already registered with the manufacturer, that’s bad. Be good to check that via customer service

If it’s a legit store, sometimes they open them to inspect visually if everything looks fine and wasn’t damaged

The sticker posted has the gpu serial used for setting up the warranty

NBB sells stuff open box as well so might be a return from a different customer.

    > notebooksbilliger

they have been known to scam customers so I wouldn’t be surprised.

I think for europe they don’t even seal them anymore. So they can test when you buy.

check the pins, usually you can tell when its been seated into a mobo before.

Gigabyte ships without a seal too maybe it’s like that with Inno3d aswell.

  15. Nick_Noseman

That’s because seal require water and fish

I’m currently working as An order picker in the warehouse.I’ve accidentally broken seals a few times. If the interior is intact, I just consider it an accident in the warehouse. If it makes you feel better though, just ask for a replacement.

    Then it’s not new.

Run cpu monitor and see if it’s actually that gpu.

  18. RockingHamsters

Inno3D is know to sell without seals

  19. platonicgin

Nvidia probably doesn’t include the seal anymore to save money and maximize profits. /s

My gigabyte 3060ti from Amazon and 4070ti from bestbuy didn’t come with seals on the outside of the box. They did have the seals for the anti static bag.

  21. Alucard661

I bought one (4070ti) off of Microcenter with no seal but the bag holding the card has 3 seals

Maybe the reseller has had an issue with boxes arriving with missing GPUs, they could have just been checking they were not sending out a brick
