Oof. You could get a sheet of acrylic and pop it on there.

No tile floor… That’s the first one for me in this sub.

In the future lay your PC on its side before you take off the glass. Even the smallest point of contact with stone can be enough to shatter it.

Like the table cloth trick. Presto chango, watch this glass panel disappear before your very eyes.

    Ta-daaa.

dont put your tempered glass machines on tile it WILL shatter

This sub has single-handedly convinced me that I will never in a million years purchase a case with a tempered glass side panel

This sub is the reason I still have the protective edges on my sidepanels 😆

Why didn’t the masterrace buy plexi glass, is he stupid?

Why do people keep placing the glass panel on hard surfaces? Place it on carpet, a towel, a bed, the couch. Something that will not break it!

I ordered a custom PC and was very upset when it came with a tempered glass lid. Hopefully, I won’t have to repost this post any time soon.

Man everybody has that same laminate faux hardwood and quartz countertop these days. Flip or new build?

Those shoes may have a bit of a crunch when you go to step now

  13. Papermemerfewer

Don’t forget to empty your shoes before using them again or the pain will be noticeably more severe.

As much as I love the tempered glass look there is no freaking way I would ever use it in any of my builds because I have seen too much horror on this Reddit feed.

  15. Can we just make it side panel shatter sunday? these posts are becoming really annoying

What’s the deal with people having their PC on a kitchen island or tile floor?

I guess it’s really not obvious that tempered glass always loses to those lol

I do my pc gutwork on my desk.

Once I remove the window, I place the window flat on the seat of my chair.

I don’t sit on my chair while it’s there.

I still have a glass panel.

Make of this what you will.

I’m genuinely curious how this happens to so many people haha, I’ve never ever had this happen in the 10 years I’ve been building PC’s

I think you can use bread to pickup any stray slivers of glass kinda just pat/push it on the ground

  21. faverodefavero

Local cutom tempered glass shop that makes glass shelves should be able to replicate your side panel. Just save any extra plastic or metal pieces that were attached to it.

I’ve learned a lot from everyone’s comments and I appreciate the advice. I’ve found a solution for my case issue in the meantime until my new one. Again thank you all for the advice.
