Replaying Shadow Complex because I remembered how much I liked the game the first time around. Even with the dated graphics it still holds up (i know theres a remastered version on Steam but i got mine on xbox).
I read that they designed Shadow Complex 2 but shelved it to focus on Forenite. From a business standpoint I can appreciate focusing on the biggest moneymaker but Im bummed theres not a follow up to this. Eh, be grateful the original existed I guess.

This was a launch day purchase for me. Also bought the remaster on launch and replayed it immediately.
The game was very cool. It also had a “secretish” ending
I really enjoyed it back in the day, but I think other metroidvanias have surpassed it since.
The released a version with upscaled visuals on Xbox One I believe.
Needless to say, I also have very fond memories of playing the original on 360. I should break this out and replay it.
I was always kinda interested in this since I loved Metroidvanias. I eventually got it for free on Epic but I lost interest in Metroidvanias by that time. Maybe I’ll install and try it someday.
Love this game. Super fun and love to replay it. Only complaint is the final boss glitch they never fixed, ever in the remake.

Great gameplay, but the tie in to OSC’s conservative masturbatory fantasy kinda ruined it. Enjoy the game for how it plays, not for what it represents thematically.
