Hanako is pretty much as bad as Saburo and both are much worse than Yorinobu.

That would be the most illogical and moronic decision that Saburo would have ever made. “Yeah, let me just nuke a major and vital commercial city in America which is my only way to have access to the American market and wipe out all the megacorporations operating there and potentially plunge the globe into another global corporate war”
Not only would this have prompted an immediate military response from all the major military based megacorporations like Militech, Kang Tao etc. It would have completely severed their ties with megacorporations like Netwatch, Biotechnica, Petrochem and practically every other megacorporation that operates there. NUSA would also go after Arasaka due to their own vested interests in ruling over Night City. Arasaka would get fucking annihilated and megacorporations would for the first time in history unite against a common enemy.
You’re being very charitable to her, to be honest – maybe even too charitable. I honestly think the only reason she stopped her father from nuking NC is the fact Yorinobu is in the city, his death could potentially start a faction war within Arasaka itself, not to mention that nuking NC would most likely start another corpo war, a war Arasaka isn’t guaranteed to win.
Plus, remember, if you pick her side, you’re getting arguably the worst possible ending for V and the world at large – she’s not a well-intentioned person with a strong moral code, she’s just very good at pretending she is that kind of person.

Said it before but I was never sold of this aspect of the narrative, mainly because of the way I first learned of it. I’d never been up to the roof and was on my second playthrough the first time I saw someone on here mention it. So on my next go at the heist I ran upstairs, killed the big Noh guys and read… what seemed like an old man rambling into his diary, a senile old fudd chewing over ancient grudges and dreaming of the glory days. Yeah, sure, you could wipe the city out with a wave of your hand, the world will fear your name, time for your nap, pop-pop, want a glass of warm milk?
We don’t know if he was doing anything other than rambling and, even if not, we don’t know if he’d have dared launch such an attack, knowing the fearsome retaliation it would bring. Hell, we don’t even know if that aircraft carrier was really carrying nuclear missiles.
I mean, an earlier entry in the same diary has the ship arriving at Pearl Harbor, which he acknowledges Militech has turned into a fortress, and he’s still all “Could bomb the place mmmmnn could… could launch an attack, that’ll show ‘em, teach ‘em, young whippersnappers, get off’my lawn… with your, with your hip hop music an’ your complicated shoes… in my day we showed respect… respect… zzzzZZzZzzZZZZzzz”

Why do you? All the weight on the poor fragile woman’s shoulders? Oh, and when I say cold, I mean – depending on the ending – cold enough to stuff Saburo’s engram into Yorinobu and sit there while it overwrote her own brother.
