Bought a GTX 5070 to upgrade my 2070S. It did barely anything to my fps. Bought a 5700X3D CPU to replace my 3700X, for half the price of the GPU. Turned out I heavily bottlenecked my 2070 SUPER for 5 years.

I tested the 4 seperate configs on several pubg game replays, various maps. Some glider action, gunfights, dense terrain, smokes, explosions. All results look like this.

As my (AI-)research told me the GPU would deliver much more bang for its buck, specifically for 1440p pubg, I thought others might like this info.

Side note: my monitor's max refresh rate is 144. Without that limitation, the 5070 combined with the 5700X3D would obviously go sky high.

You can turn off the fps cap to see how much fps you can achieve with the 5070.

Lows are bad, tho. That’s what makes your game feel smooth.
