It’s fantastic, don’t bring attention to it. It’s the closest we’ll get to cl_bob.
Big-Pound-5634
This is great I love it, I don’t need the weapon to keep moving around throwing me off. hope it stays that way or we get a console command to control it ourselves.
Atago1337
Dont mention it please.
Been waiting for the bob command for ages now.
schoki560
sort of like bob
i love it

Valve really is listening
CheeseWineBread
People actually like it sorry.
Hertzzz25
I like it, it’s less distracting.

Shit. What am I supposed to notice?

YES FINALLY!! Now only if we had a command to change the sway amount, so everyone could choose if they want their gun to be static or not.
second_pls
What is your view model settings?? Need that
Idilom
dont talk about it… maybe its really a bug and valve fixes it but we like it better this way
pigzishollow
As an old head in the CS scene. I way prefer the static over bob. I have always played static and this is a win imo.

This ain’t cod, bro

Besides the game breaking bugs, I actually have loved every single bit of this new update. Thr game feels crisp af to me right now.
Biche_XXX
only WASD should make the weapon move
it’s good like this, W valve
Noth1ngnss
Honestly, the slightly janky and unnatural animations coupled with the lack of panning viewmodel movements really take me back. It reminds me of older Counter-Strike titles and feels a lot better than it looks.
xfyre101
am i the only one who doesnt notice a difference? lmao

delete this post, quickly! before they fix it!
tan_phan_vt
I like it lol, its like cs1.6 again.
But it doesn’t hurt to add it back for people who likes it, and of course allows people to turn it off.
axizz31
Look at how much worse is the new hand positioning on the gun, looks like Day of Defeat Source…
SalamChetori
I need the bob back, game looks so weird without it
Shitposternumber1337
“Is anyone talking about the update that made the animation the way it was for 20 years instead of this dogshit leading one from Battlefield CryEngine” is what you mean then yes, judging by the comments it’s a positive step in the right direction
Dont be one of the noobs who makes it painfully obvious they’re a noob asking for bad changes to be kept when we can barely get the game into its original amount of content from like 4 years ago lmao
_Wormyy_
What weirded me out about how it was before the update was that the sway moved in the same direction as your mouse moved, so the gun would move to the right of your screen when you swiped right, so honestly I prefer this
FMBongo
Yeah the guy you took this footage from certainly is
TheNamesRoodi
Dude I want it to look like a PNG file. I hate that the barrel leads
Safe-Imagination-773
Have to agree with OP, I liked weapon sway in Source and GO. Didn’t really like the change in sway from GO to CS2, but a static image is just pushing us back 20 years. If you boot up 1.6, there is still a small amount of weapon sway visible.
This was at least adjustable in Source with cl_wpn_sway_interp. Maybe bob commands will be back once AnimGraph2 is finalised.
