  1. Battle for wesnoth

Runs on almost anything, completely free and open source, has existed for two decades+ yet still receives consistent updates (often with new content). Most importantly, fun to play.

  2. BreakerOfModpacks

Red Eclipse or Bloodthief. Both free on Steam, I highly recommend checking them out, also Mindustry (free on itch.io)

  3. could be Sven Coop, or Counter Strike 1.6, or Counter Strike Source.

before cs2 this was csgo, but the jump in graphics from go to 2 was very large and many people had to go back to cssource.

This was me when the first game I played on my XFX7900XT was Dungeon Keeper (1997).

Spider-Man 2, had to get rid of my old b350 motherboard in favor of a b550 because of the goddamn pci express 5.0 and its lanes. If I knew the RX 7600 with its PCI 5.0 and 8 lanes would be limited in a PCI 4.0 motherboard that much, honestly, I would have bought something else, maybe the RX 6750 XT if I could find one. And here I am, Spider-Man 2 is installed for about 2 months, modded suits, etc.. and I still play Monster Train 2 instead

  7. Stanislaav_

Terraria, Factorio, Stardew Valley, Dwarf Fortress (ASCII)

  8. TheWaterWave2004

    Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 / Asphalt 9

  9. dopesickness

I’m between Faster than Light and Loop Hero. Both so addictive!

  10. I build my new PC before Cyberpunk came out, which I’ve played a bunch but not finished. The game I play the most is Infinitode and Thronefall.

For the first pic Assassin’s Creed Shadows

    For the second Stardew Valley

  12. LightyLittleDust

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Enclave, Freedom Fighters, To The Moon, Dead Space — and more.

  13. senhorT_1069

I always fall back to playing Bioshock 1 and Fallout New Vegas

Half-life/ day of defeat. My PC used to struggle to run half-life in the late 90’s. Super low FPS, 20 min load times between areas. Now I could run it on my cell phone at 240fps 1440p…
