At home I run two 34″ ultrawides and I freaking love it. I have a large desk and with fancy zones I can have all my stuff tiled perfectly.
At work I have 4, a 34″ Ultrawide as the main display with two 24″ centered above and a 24″ vertically flanking it on the right for chat apps. I could never go back to anything else now, I make full use of every inch of that real estate and have dozens of tabs open at the time as well.

One or both better be at least a 4K. If not put one between those two. Trust me, it makes ALL the difference.

i have a second 1080p monitor but it doesnt fit in my setup. use it as a mini tv with a roku right next to my bed
I used to love dual monitors, but now I think that one big monitor is better.

I use 3 monitors at work, technically could be counted as 6 screens. One desktop windows 11, one laptop (oscillates between windows 11 and linux mint), and a 3rd that oscillates between a raspberry pi OS or a 2nd monitor for the laptop/desktop.
Each new screen or computer hits me like crack. I can run and see *everything*. Cant go back.

I find a good 9-11 inches tablet on the bottom at a good angle to be more practical and won’t impact PC performance. I had often gigantic video stutter/playback problem on my second monitor while playing fairly heavy game.
And a decent tablet is not really that much more expensive than a decent monitor. the screen is even fairly typically way better.

Real i love my second monitor, just tonight i did diablo 2 resurrected on the main monitor while youtube was on the other

Many years I’ve used dual monitor, some yeaars I used even 3 monitors
But at the end I ended up with one ultra wide monitor.
Why?
Because best workflow which I found is having one l full screen (maximized window) app at a time.
It reduces distractions and therefore you can fully focus on one task.
Note: it works just for me and my current tasks. I believe there are many different tasks that are better done with multiple monitors.

Ever since I saw The Matrix 1000 years ago I wanted that wall of hackery monitors. I’m up to a triple 32″ setup but probably have enough other monitors laying around I could live the dream.
I was recently forced to use a work PC with a single screen for a while and it felt like having my arms removed

Maybe off topic but is it considered bad to plug your second monitor into the integrated graphics while your primary is on the GPU?

Two weeks ago my Monitor just randomly decided to stop working after a few restarts and the few days that I didn’t have it, was claustrophobic. Felt very restricting and my work flow got messed up.

Do a third vertical one on the left. Once you’ve edited a document that way you’ll be so mad that you never have before.

Two 32″ 1440ps, my computer experience has never been so satisfying.
29 inch LG ultrawide and a 24” Dell office monitor i got for 15 USD helps a lot with productivity especially reading on the vertical monitor

my second monitor, placed right next to my primary as not been used in a decade, theres literally no reason for it, even after the sorry excuses i saw in the comments… but hurray for yall

I have two monitors in my jome office for work because I need that for my job. My computer is hooked up to my tv (2 bed house one bedroom is my office, so I have a living room set-up) and I don’t really miss having a second monitor in that case. For discord messages, I’ll just have it up on my phone or laptop while gaming if I need it. But having two is super nice for work.
