These animations are both reminiscent and fresh. With some adjustments, they’ll be good. I’m not a huge fan of the bayo change.
I’m interested in knowing what was exactly changed with the jump/strafe issues that are being reported. Moving in-air feels awkward.
I’m happy the animation system is being updated. Progress is good, especially when it was aforementioned by the developers.
This is one of the buggiest updates in a while, I like everything they’ve changed other than that. Hopefully they also fix bunny-hopping and its not a feature.
The new animation I think are horrible. They look like something that tencent would make after purchasing the counter strike ip to make a mobile game. They feel way to tactical like they are trying to replicate the new cod games or something adding in slight fumbling of putting the mag into the m4s completely taking away from the flawless executions of the original m4 reloads. Anyways they better make an option to use the old animations and fix optimization problems.
Not a bug report but since they did the first person animation from scratch. I assume they will do the same in 3rd person animations. I hope they make the animation movement more readable, trackable.

Only thing I think is egregious is the new Glock reload animation. Who approved that one?
Nothing else seems like as big of a deal as people are making it out to be
Stickers are not showing up in some of my guns in game no major issue just worth knowing also feels like my sense is lower
lol game crashes on launch every time for me. Updated my nvidia drivers, no change.
Rebooting my PC resolved it, was worried.
Bomb is not falling at the bomb carrier’s feet upon their death, moving to a completely different location. Here is a link to live gameplay recording, watch the minimap.

anyone lost fps or just me?
I believe the newests reload and firing animations are a fresh change overall but im not sold on how the models hold the m4, AK , awp and some of the knives it looks too goofy if i could revert something from this update that would be it.
Aside from that very good changes overall and excited to see how the 3rd person animations in AnimGraph2 will turn out, Hopefully that update will make spraying just like go was.
If anyone is curious about some of the recoil animation changes, the rifles all showcase how the upward and side to side motions are more pronounced, fluid, and accurate to the spray. Tracers follow closely, but also if you enable “crosshair follows recoil” you can see the gun moves, aiming at where the crosshair is during the recoil pattern. Instead of the gun choppily moving back against the shoulder then forward rapidly, it now has more fluid movement overall. It makes the M4A1-S look especially bouncy now.
Overall great update, feels more smooth and responsive.
Some of the animations need polishing, I can’t tell what it is but I think there is a weird transition of perspective issue. Like there is a hiccup or frame missing near the end of the equip animation where the gun suddenly gets larger if you watch close enough with some of the CT rifles.
The AK feels mean with the new equip audio.
Something I haven’t seen mentioned yet is the clarity of the bomb’s screen now.

Found a strange bug where I had my knife out but my shadow showed me holding and swinging around my AK.
Animations are really good, they look almost like the ones in PoPw0w’s `You Made Me Do It` edit or a 1.6 sever, really floaty and smooth.
Also, the deagle reload with no bullets is insane, I wish more weapons had this.
As for bugs, I noticed that I would sometimes move back in dm when spawning even tho I didn’t press anything(probably related to other movement issues).
Movement also feels awful, although that’s already been mentioned.
There are also some broken animations, such as the ct model t posing with an awp sometimes etc.
Really good animations, really bad update.
Bhop and movement is ass, they fucked it
Caught the bomb falling through the floor from some different angles. Looks like its physics based as the bomb can end up in a few different locations, but still technically exists at the players death location.

Classic knife is bugged. If you right click while inspecting the animation is completely canceled and returned to the resting position and your right click stab does not register.
**Rate limiting of movement inputs needs to be priority #1 to fix.**
It makes any amount of skilful movement expression completely impossible and feels *awful*. It feels so obviously wrong that I noticed it less than 2 seconds after spawning in.
If a VALVE developer reads this, please look at [this twitter post](https://x.com/girlglock_/status/1949953579466322202) for an example of what I’m describing. To any player with decent movement, this phenomenon is *extremely* apparent and is atrociously bad.
– The new animations for guns generally feel really good, and some like the M4A1-S and Deagle remind me of 1.6. The pistol animations in particular are AMAZING.
– The knives now feel super unpolished when inspecting. They often noticeably clip through hands, especially when inspecting them right after you pull them out.
– The hands look super lumpy and unpolished on knives, especially on knives like the Talon Knife and the Karambit
-Movement is completely broken. Any quick jumps from a ledge to a box or any sort of instant jump after landing is busted and makes the game feel slow and awful.
-Drawing and instantly inspecting AK47 produces bad clipping and in general looks terrible. (Please do not remove instant inspect. Bring back animation cancel)
-Full Auto on AK47 and M4A4 and then switching to another weapon can produce lingering muzzle flash and bullets flying out of your face.
-In general knife animations are all super janky when trying to do old combos like the Bowie knife right click then inspect. Switching to the Bowie and instant inspecting makes a jerky motion where as previously it was not like this.
-Stickers are not showing up at all for me.
The animations remind me of 1.6 and Source.

Performance is awful. 10v10 DM on agency and I have gotten multiple 550ms spikes per minute. Sometimes every 10 seconds.

Performance is great! Feels smooth and crisp. Much less network issues, and the animations feel somewhat weird but don’t think it’ll be an issue since this update seems to be like the first of many.
Did they do something to AWP model? Seems like a decent % of skins are bugged, my Atheris looks like ass even if it is MW.
please fix bayonet animation and do not forget the part where you inspect on pull out because thats important too ty volvo
Bomb was showing in wrong location on minimap for teammate. And when he walked to where the bomb was dropped, he could not see it.
the movement is completely broken
Butterfly knife animation is bugged when inspecting (quick pull + inspect, maybe needs a few tries), the handle goes through the palm.
Bomb was thrown by teammate in pit on dust 2 and it was thrown completely out of the map
