

RAM kit is a 4266 CL17 from the motherboard’s QVL.
My system won’t boot at any frequency above 4000 MHz, no matter what I try (I’ve tried different voltages, looser timings, even different RTT configurations). So, I focused on timings.
I started with the secondaries, then tertiaries, and finally the primaries. So far, I’m pretty happy with the results: timings look solid to me, latency is at 41 ns in AIDA64, and overall performance has improved (better 1% and 0.1% lows). Everything is fully stable.
At this point, only tREFI and RTL/IOL remain to be optimized, but I can’t seem to improve them at all. Even setting tREFI to 16384 causes errors. Maybe I’ve reached the absolute limit of my system and there’s no more headroom left? Is it fine to leave it like this, or should I consider loosening some other timings to raise tREFI and lower RTL/IOL?

aida performance doesnt represent real word loads, is y-cruncher vt3 stable?
y-cruncher test latencies wich only are used at the beginning of transfers
look up “actually hardcore overclocking” on youtube if you want to learn way to much about memory
