I wanted a consistent way of doing it without the mustang and sallys, first I found some success with hipfire, then I tried 3rd person. Make sure to switch back to first person to shoot the book once it settles though, since I can't seem to shoot it in third person for the life of me.

3rd person zombies is an abhorrence
I was so incredibly mad about this yesterday. The guides I watched didnt explain that im supposed to shoot the middle part when it stops in place. Failed so many times.
You dont need to pause the game. Just hold down on your d-pad and it switches.
