Maybe it’s from growing up in a Hispanic neighborhood but I’ve always known Angel to be a male name lol
They showed pics of each one in 1.0 as well but it wasn’t in your face, you had to pay attention to see it.

It’s a very clever bit of word play. It’s a silly riddle.
Skye is a purely feminine name. Angel is a gender neutral name. You have all of the information required to solve the riddle with zero time pressure; only the illusion of pressure, which comes from them straight up showing you the answer.
I got it ‘wrong’ on my first run. Ended up with the dude. I laughed and moved on.
It used to be VERY easy to forget which was which and be very surprised once you got to your room
