    I like Rebecca

  2. As a vague anime watcher, I’m at least happy this time it’s about a show that’s actually pretty good instead of the most recent 6/10 mid as hell shonen that nobody will remember in six months. That’s a rare treat.

  3. ThatOneAries

I’d rather have posts about people experiencing edgerunners for the first time instead of the creepy gooner female V posts

  4. _EnglishFox_

Imagine getting mad over people enjoying a good show lmao

    “ I can’t stand these posts”!

So let me make another ……

  6. All I saw on the subreddit was barely Lolicon.

    No way Sir.

Oh my god thank you, I thought I was the only one not crying and shitting everywhere in despair about this show. Don’t get me wrong its pretty good, I had fun with it, but be fucking real. “This show gave me depression” no tf it didn’t

  8. Phyrexian_Mario

I enjoyed the series but never understood the emotional reaction people seem to get from the show

  9. Sinnoviir

Hot take, I didn’t really think Edgerunners was *that* good.

  10. OatmealGod

Everybody make posts that the monster fucker will like

  11. uhhhgreeno

possible hot take: edgerunners was good as a cyberpunk fan but people here give it wayyyyy more credit than it’s due. it’s a good story, but it’s quite surface level

  12. Shatterhand1701

Isn’t it great to have people tell you what you should or shouldn’t post? Gosh, I just *LOVE* that. Someone’s feeling personally inconvenienced, so we should all just stop liking something more than they want us to. Love to see it.

There are always tons of people who don’t discover great media until years after its heyday. Just let them enjoy it with the handful of people who still want to circle-jerk. You’re under no obligation to engage with them.

my problem is theres are way sadder anime out there and so are most of the endings in the game so every edgerunners fan souns like a total poser that watched edgerunners and nothing else in their entire life.

  15. TrueNova332

Edgerunners wasn’t even that sad because everything that happened to David was because of his own choices

  16. Mista_Jukebox

unpopular opinion: I really want to stay at your house starts off good and is quickly fucking ruined by a terrible off tempo beat

  17. DrLexAlhazred

God forbid people talk about cyberpunk in the cyberpunk subreddit.

  18. TragicGentlemen

“I’m upset that people found a piece of media they really enjoy” is a weird stance to take dude.

  19. My personal head canon: they time radio songs especially this one on fitting occasions

  20. GrumpiestRobot

The part that annoys me is when people try to argue that David was actually “special”, which shows that they did not understand the point of the story at all.

  21. MAGAsareperverts

I’ll take these over the “Should I watch Edgerunners????” posts.

  22. ANewPrometheus

OP, if you don’t want to engage with the Cyberpunk community, maybe don’t be in a Cyberpunk community.

  23. raspberryhoneh

this is what it feels like as someone who loved the game but hated edgerunners

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep is very short and I enjoyed it a lot. I’m partway through Neuromancer so I can’t fully recommend it but I’m really enjoying it so far.

There is also the Arasaka Tower story in the 2020 rulebook (free with your copy of 2077) and the Black Dog story in the Cyberpunk Red Rulebook. Both are very short. If you really don’t like or have the time to read, No Coincidence is set around the games timeline and is narrated by the VA for fem V.

If you are feeling inspired by the genre, you should purse more stories!
