I like Windows 11 more than Windows 10. Or 7. It really isn’t bad, just disable Copilot.

  1. just disable Copilot:

    * it updates whenever it feels like it.
    * update downloads and install whatever it wants, but not what you want.
    * the OS doesn’t respect you, your admin rights is a joke, it doesn’t allow you a lot of sometimes necessary stuff.
    * its heavy (which is a problem for mobile users) and can cause stutters.
    * sleep/hibernation is broken for 10 years.
    * cumbersome convoluted settings spread out in 50 different settings snippets.
    * no normal monitoring of resources, task manager(or resource monitor) will just say “system” for almost all OS tasks.
    * no normal app store. So you need to google some apps and look at fishy sites like “top ten whatever apps for whatever”.
    * the OS give total access to the OS to whatever app.(which is convenient but dangerous).
    * shit search.
    * lack of control.
    * lack of customization.
    * shit file browser(win explorer), literally the slowest one in existence. If i need to copy a lot of data, i kid you not, i use 7zip for it, cos its like 2 times faster.
    * the most unstable modern OS. some random small app can crash or freeze whole system.

    am i forgetting something? probably.
    all that goes for both 10 and 11.

    And 11 its literally just worse version of 10.

    p.s. not to mention FUCKING ADDS inside the OS and selling your data, and its not free nor open.

  2. Sweet_Disharmony_792

    Agree with more than 10, but not more than 7.

    Thank goodness for allstartback, though…

  3. HamburgerOnAStick

    I like the UI more than 10. But 10 was honestly a better experience

  4. yungfishstick

    People hated Windows 10 for the longest time, then 11 dropped and suddenly everyone loved Windows 10, which kind of blows my mind because 11 is basically 10 with a new coat of paint on it. This shit happens every single time Microsoft releases a new version of Windows. Just ignore the people that like to complain about everything and continue liking Windows 11 more than 10.

  5. ItsYungCheezy

    Good luck bro, this comment section won’t be pretty

    I am indifferent to it, I don’t love or hate it. I think that the system requirements are way too high and will create a ton of unnecessary e-waste. But it’s not the worst thing ever created

    Just disable Copilot. Ya you’ll have to disable it every update because they just reenable it.

    Everything wrong with Windows 11
    – Forced microsoft account
    – Advertiments in your OS
    – shovelware everywhere
    – Why does everything have to be AI now
    – Context menu, why is it now so much harder to what i want to do
    – You cant have a small taskbar anymore
    – You cant move your taskbar
    – Search only shows online bing results.
    – way too many services
    – The window animates are laggy as hell, feels like the whole PC is clunky but its just animations thats clunky
    – The whole OS is soo dumbed down power users cant do normal power user things.

  7. Useful-Reception-399

    I don’t know, man – I think Windows 7 was the last great Windows release. Everything that came after is way too intrusive in regard to privacy 🤷‍♂️

  8. Every_Pass_226

    It’s overhated. The browser like tab management and built in snapping is awesome.

  9. All I had to do was make the taskbar left aligned and uninstall some of the default programs and it’s honestly fine. I don’t like the changes on some of the menus like audio though.

  10. Somehow I agree with you. I don’t have somehow any windows issues and it doesn’t want to save files on one drive

  11. MrGoose48

    Just saying, you can’t move the taskbar, but in windows 10 you can

    Whether it’s something a person enjoys or not, it is stupid not to upgrade with the times. If you stay on Win 7 or Win 10 forever in another 50 years you will have no idea how to use the quantumcrypto giga-ai plasma cloud octopus dick hyperscale architecture and while your grandkids are playing with holograms in the backyard and sending drones to the moon you will be watching youtube videos and browsing steam. Whether or not someone likes modern tech, being technically literate is never a disadvantage.

    This mentality is how boomers become boomers

    I think the reason people don’t like it more and more is the invasive feeling it gives when you don’t know how to customize it. For the general user, it can be annoying. For people who use windhawk, winaerotweaker, openshell, etc etc you can get a pretty good experience without having to know too much. Then there are wizards who write their own scripts and use powershell to make windows their bitch.

    You really can get what you want with enough effort, just not perfectly what you want. For something like linux, you’ll get exactly what you want but there will be endless tweaking and tons of effort. For apple, have deep pockets and hope they don’t change stuff you actually like.

  14. OwnPension8884

    It’s not a bad OS, but It literally feels like an OS with too many chefs in the kitchen.

  15. carlashaw

    I was ok with until I ran into constant file explorer crashes.

  16. I like it on my Surface tablet but I needed to disable all the AI crap and suggestions crap. Once it is neutered it’s acceptable.

  17. helpmehavememes

    I love it. No issues with it at all. I wish the start menu never changed from like….XP., but otherwise, I have no complaints

  18. Earlier windows was just an operating system but now it’s data harvesting system + billboard

  19. dundamdun

    I’ve used linux mint, macos, windows 11. And I would say all of them have their quirks and as long as you get used to them, they get stuff done. I have win 11 on an nvme ssd and it is fast enough that i will not think about switching to macos or linux as my main. And really, if you think win11 is too heavy of a system, then you can always make the switch to lightweight linux distros. That’s the good thing about pcs, you can do whatever you want with them.

  20. visual-vomit

    It’s just so slow for no reason reason with something as simple as opening explorer taking almost a full second. not to mention heavy enough that i had to swap out my 2080 cause my pc suddenly upgrades itself. The little mac-like animations makes the whole ui feel slow.

  21. HeartoftheSun119

    I don’t mind windows 11.. It fuckin sucked when it first came out though

  22. alias9269

    I hate that you cant put the task Bar to the right side of the screen, having an ultrawide Monitor that Feature is a must..

  23. Vegetable_Safety

    Copilot is the least of the concerns surrounding this version

  24. Monkai_final_boss

    The putting stuff in the centre fucks with me, I just don’t like it.
