So I bought a used Gigabyte b650 Aurus elite AX V2 off eBay, and as I was building my PC with it and about to put in my SSD I realized he had accidentally left in 2 SSDs, a 500GB Samsung 970 evo and a sabrent 500GB, I then contacted him and he organized and paid for me to return them to him.

Good on you for doing the right thing. I know a lot of people who would’ve kept them.

  2. Shout out to you for returning those. An unfortunately large ammount of people would keep them

  3. AznTee8698

good job, you are a better person than I am. I would think that those SSD’s are freebies.

As others have said… Fair play for reaching out to him, and sorting a return

That was nice of you , hoping good things come your way in return! I’m sure the seller was super relieved it ended up in your hands too 🀣

You are a good person. A lot of people would just take it as it is and probably ignore the original owner if they found out. Cudos dawg, that’s respect 🫑

the integrity this man has to tell the seller about the ssd’s

  11. Good for you getting them back. You never know, maybe the only picture he has of his dead mum is on there or somehtin. πŸ™‚

  12. Good karma. Someday it may be you needing that karma πŸ™‚

As the seller, I would have paid the few extra bucks for the courier to pick up the package rather than expecting you to drop it off.

  14. BillM_MZ3SGT

Good on you man. Glad you were able to get things sorted

    Good job OP πŸ™‚

To you, they’re just two second hand 500GB SSDs (which aren’t expensive in 2025).

To the seller, that could be a whole bunch of irrecoverable private data.

Good job for honesty. Copy off the crypto wallets first.

Lot of respect for doing that. Thanks for being a good person.

  18. One time I sold a nintendo ds with the game still in it lol. Luckily they sent it back too!!

Props to you OP for doing the right thing and getting them returned.

It’s not even the hard drives, it’s the data that is probably on them. I don’t want to be responsible for anyone’s data like that. Also, I’d replace 2x 500GB drives with 1x 2TB if I were on a new build. He can have them back for sure.

  21. Duckymaster21

If he was super nice throughout the transaction I’d probably have done the same

I had a whole desktop pc delivered to me that was meant for some guy in the next village, no idea how they got it so wrong. Found the guy on Facebook, messaged him and dropped it around. He was grateful but nothing more – I thought he might at least slip me a tenner for not knicking his PC!

Good karma (real karma) on you.Β

I will always fuck over a corporation if given a chance but I will never fuck over an individual.Β

You’re an absolute fucking gentleman, good on you! 🍻 πŸ‘Š

  25. You’re a better man than I. I still have a few machines that could use a 500gb NVME drive.

  26. Good job. This is how it’s done. Bad actors would steal data and item. Good Samaritan, chapeau!
