The only one that doesn’t come back is OneDrive. I’ve never seen it come back.

I guess it’s time to mention my utterly bloat-free Windows 10 Enterprise edition again. It’s cheap and so much better than 11. Get it.

I hate how no means no to companies like this means nothing.
The company I use that delivers milk, bread, yogurt etc to my doorstep if you want to cancel/change something makes you give like 5 days notice, then they add the “are you sure” option THEN a “please confirm if you want to change your regular order” then finally “please click confirm if your details are correct”
Been a few times when I forgot and still got items when either in hospital or on vacation.
But when you want to ADD something they don’t ask for confirmation it’s “so you want it, ok then added”

I used Chris Titus tweaks for that, so far they did not come back.

11 has no improvements. It could have been a windows 10 service pack.

/shrug they don’t bother me? Not like that laptop branded bloatware that runs in the tray, edge can rot in a folder somewhere idc and I actually have been an avid user of onedrive since the skydrive days

Reminds me of a few apps on Google Pixel phones. Even if you don’t use or update some apps and even uninstall them, they’ll be silently and automagically force-reinstalled by the end of the week.

It’s like an arts program I have that pops up with an Ad every time. If I check the `Never show Ad again.” it still shows back up every single time. Never been fixed in years, cos they have no intention to.
And if anyone actually lays the Law down on them they’ll just say, “Oh it was a glitch! Sorry.”
So sick of the tricks of these software companies.
There are plenty of ways to uninstall all of this.

Gave up on Windows, Windows 11 Enterprise with it’s AI bloatware, Bing/Copilot search suggestions, Recall AI spyware and tons of other spyware hogging up system resources without shady third party scripts now requires more CMD/Powershell/DISM/regedit fiddly fuckery than to install Arch Linux manually.

why bother? You don’t have to use them, ever. Just delete the icons and stop giving a shit.

just having edge installed is not gonna hurt your performance and if it does then you should be looking at upgrading anyway at that point

I know I hate it because people don’t watch what it does but I use Revios which is a branch of AtlasOS with a more complete control panel.

With Windows 10 LTSC IoT edition, so far nothing was returned or reset by updates.
Although I also modified the ISO before installing, removing the stuff I don’t need even before install.

WinAero Tweaker is a must have at this point: blocks edge, Cortana, copilot, ads, telemetry and lets you use classic features. It’s fantastic.

If you live in the EU you can uninstall them just fine and they do not return with updates due to the European Digital Markets Act. 😺

I switched to Linux Fedora recently because of how horrible windows 10 and 11 is, I don’t regret it at all and thanks to proton I have no problems playing games on Linux.

This always fucked me off. I found a permanent fix. It’s called Linux. 😂
I’ve been doing this all year for my windows install. Moving to an M2 SSD soon. Hope they didn’t remove this in newer ISO. I normally main EndeavourOS. unless I need very specific software, etc.

I’m about to uninstall Windows 11 and put Windows 10 back on the one PC I have with Windows 11. I’m fed up with this shit. The Windows update service is mangled so it can’t update and I’m still using a local account but it also has some sneaky ways of making you sign into a Microsoft account for a bunch of things.
I wish there were another viable operating system option that’s not Windows or Linux.
Not having any issues with W11 myself. Took like 3 things to get it back to how I wanted W10 functionality – right click menu (fixed with a registry key), getting rid of taskbar bloat and centering left (easy), and then had to download a 3rd party app in order to get the task bar to display everything on all monitors (hard).
I game on my primary screen, but like to be able to see my temps on other monitor through task bar. After doing 3, W11 is fine.
