Because they need to scam only one person with this and they are set for a month.

  2. RoadkillVenison

So 5614 USD, and I’m betting a third party seller.

I’ll agree that some prebuilts are ripoffs. This however is probably more an example of an Amazon seller setting an unrealistic price instead of delisting when they run out of stock.

Because people are too lazy and pussy to make build them. When you’re 21+ years old and you’re “too scared” to build a computer, you are an actually pussy. It’s not nice to say, but it’s true and people need to told that. So if this applies to any of you that read this, then you’re welcome.

I typed it into pcpp and it’s like $800 USD tops?

  5. Away-Situation6093

5.9k USD for this like WTF , definitely they are meant to scam buyers that cant build by themselves and to get more money

  6. “PC gaming is super expensive. I have a $7000 high end gaming PC and it struggles to play the latest games on high settings. You really need to upgrade every month it seems.”

  7. There are some legit ones 2 Far Robotics is good, I already bought 2 PCs from them. Obviously you always pay a premium for pre-built..

  8. Because the avrg joe doesnt know jack shit about tech

  9. Dino_Spaceman

3060 and Win10? Can they even sell Win10 anymore?

This one is more likely just a very old build they never bothered to update the price on.

What the hell my current PC cost me pretty much a third of this and yet my pieces are better than this. Do they charge hundreds of dollars for labor?

  11. As someone who has a Skytech PC, this is just inaccurate. I bought from their website and was solid, PC runs great… if your buying pre-built, never Amazon it.

i bought a skytech prism 2 a few years ago and it arrived with scratches and smudges on the glass and after 30 minutes of use the gpu was dead. i had to wait 30 days for a refund before i could go to best buy, and by that time it was december and it took a month and a half for best buy to get it in, the entire time nobody had any details on where it was or when it shipped or how long it would be

They’re not prebuilt in the sense of the word. They are on demand, so they can list a lot of different configurations and then later build it one once an order is placed. What they have is access to rapid stock.

And at that price it seems they can get the components from somewhere like Microcenter, they have enough markup to build it with retail prices.

Putting the item in sale doesn’t cost anything. If someone buys it, bingo!

Because people don’t do their research ..my little sister (she’s 35 ) paid $1400 last year for $500 PC from Amazon, she wanted to know why it wouldn’t play Avatar.. I asked her what her GPU was and she didn’t know.. she just assumed paying that much means it was” a good gaming computer”

  15. BogusIsMyName

I count roughly $2,500 in parts. Selling it for 3 times that is insane.

  16. PM_me_opossum_pics

Stuff like this is just pushing me to start my PC building side gig. Like I’d upcharge maybe 10-15% compared to component prices as an “assembly fee” and I wouldn’t skimp on MOBO and PSU like almost all prebuilt stores do. I just need clientele. No idea how to advertise myself. I find building PC’s to be very calming and I can crank out one per day as a relaxing activity after work.

Well, while it’s still a scam even if this shower thought is true:

While they may get a number of foolish people that haven’t a clue they’re getting ripped off, those may well be getting picked up by companies looking to bump up their tax write offs.

  18. shim-erstboyentofall

They probably just want to keep the listing up instead of saying out of stock sometimes aliexpress keyboards will be $30000

  19. TheReconditioner

Crazy. I bought a pre-built Cyberpower on FB for $350, slapped in a $200 GPU and a $40 AIO and have a beast.

I7-10700k, RTX 3060 Ti, 1.5TB storage, and 6 rgb fans. Things equivalent to the OP and only cost me around $600.

  20. intergalatiic

They’re company literally registered as “sketchy shadow” to my half dyslexic brain at first

  21. seanred360

My nephew just told me he needs a stronger CPU because there arent enough USB ports and they also arent “strong” enough. Most people dont know dick about computers and cant be fucked to go on youtube

  22. Lewdeology

You can build a full maxed 5090 Ryzen 9000 series build with all the highest end overpriced parts and still have money leftover than buying this piece of junk.

  23. Blind_Surgeon_

Tax evasion (to write off as expenses or losses) and money laundering. Not just PCs, a lot of other items that can be assembled with parts and sold as an off brand item. Receipts are filed as Amazon (or other ecomm) purchases, hardly probed by accountants or tax authorities

  24. -TRlNlTY-

Wtf, I payed €1100 for a similar prebuilt one a couple years ago

  25. xxMalVeauXxx

They don’t need to sell stuff. They just need the documentation to show how much they *lost* on an item to write it off as loss when its tax time. They make their money off the tax loops.

  26. ChristheCourier12

I can build my own shit thats better within $1k
