Notch: “why do they not simply sell their game to Microsoft for a billion dollars and have them make a movie out of it?”

Notch is a sucky dude, but this was very not-sucky of him

A single good take does not a good person make. Notch is still a loser.

I’m curious to see how Ross reacts to this. If I were Ross and I still knew what I personally know and have heard about Notch scuminess, I’d have a hard time deciding on if I wanted to be assosciated with that. Even if the financial support and/or social support was technically in all rights “beneficial” to the S.K.G. initiative.

Notch has been trying to clean up his act because turns out living 10 years alone in a mansion prison is no fun

Why didn’t we collectively do something like this in the past already, we the consumers have never owned any video game thats been paid for to play and publishers have definitely gone overboard with over charging people for a game they technically are just renting out to people especially now that many require an internet connection alongside connecting to a server to even access some games.

People who are still mad about him need to seriously get a life.

Reddit keep having hate boner against him, but you can’t deny this is a good thing he’s doing here.

Dude is the video game equivalent of JK Rowling. If he stayed off social media and kept his worst, most hateful opinions private, he’d be heralded as an industry legend today. Instead, many gamers think of him as a piece of shit, and his reputation got so bad that Microsoft wiped his name from the game he created.

But even pieces of shit can do things right now and then.
