That’s obviously a museum skip, they are going to a museum.

Where I live, that dumpster would be heading to a landfill. What a missed opportunity for recycling. I hope that’s not the case.

My work was doing this, I was tempted to grab a ‘new’ keyboard.
If they’d had old-school;indestructible 80s ones I would have.

Likely going for e-waste. They look like old Dell Optiplex machines that aren’t worth keeping running any more given they’re old hardware.
Chucking them in the skip and sending them to an e-waste facility is probably for the best.

That dumpster must be full of mice.

Recycle. Most likely.
However i hope those are students PCs and not replacments from the teachers’ office, because those drives left in the case, were huge data safety risks:’D

It looks like they’re just throwing them away, which is absolutely stupid because there are companies that pay you for your ewaste. They still have hard drives in them, which is really sketchy

what a waste
my school during summer was asking a student to dismantle and fix the old computers

Unless they’ve been weathered out there for a few days in wind and rain, I’d say it’s a great opportunity to grab some stuff and start yourself a nice little “Retro-hobby” : D
What a shame however that they’re even tossed like this in the first place, they could have least been donated to something.
AnttiGopkalo
Is the dumpster your school? Why not to grab a couple of those little boxes.

I’m still mad about my old highschool throwing out a really good aperture grille CRT, even after I asked them for it

idk but you ask them if you can take a few (since its likely to be donated anyway, giving those to students is still donation)

Otto Dörner will sell it to the highest bidder – possibly a sorting facility or Aurubis, seeing as pcs contain a lot of precious metals.

800 G2 (HP) Towers, 6th gen intel cpu, probably tossing them due to being win11 incompatible and just plain old by now. Based on the sign, I would say bulk electronic recycling.

If I saw this at my school I’m jumping in and having a field day, probably not gonna be any good parts but I have a recycling addiction

PCs would be taken by me if I was there… I would fix, clean and sell them and/or kept.
