Just imagine the extra frames, real fans will find a way /s

If they say about “30 with some dips” it really is going to be 15 average.
Educational-Ad2773
cpu heavy? that may be normal for 3a title in switch 2 in the coming years, some may just skip the platform.
Gorotheninja
Fyi, by “there will be a download”, he means the physical version will have a Switch 2 game key rather than a regular cartridge.
jenkinsmi
Why are they releasing this on Switch
Obsessivegamer32
…What? The fuck do you mean “dips at 30 FPS”, at max it should just be 30 FPS, you cannot release a game like this that is both 30 FPS *and* has dips.
CamBlapBlap
Anyone playing this on Switch should be well aware of the hardware limitations.
hctawrevO
It’s the Switch 2, this is hardly surprising, no?
_Gyce
Dips below the bare minimum, cool. If they are informing of “dips” then its going to noticeably affect the gameplay experience for all players.
Takoyaki_Dice
Anyone who is playing non first party new releases on switch 2 at launch doesn’t care or even know about framerate. If you’re on reddit comparing frame rate analysis, I’d wager you have a console or PC of some import.
Blackfox2240
PS Vita version of Borderlands 2 flashbacks.
perfectbebop
lol this sounds like how borderlands 2 was pitched for vita

Nintendo crowd must be elated to play at solid 20FPS on their newest console. 3 more Switches and they might get solid 60.

*PR: “30 with some dips”.
*Reality: PowerPoint presentation incoming
wordswillneverhurtme
30 fps (when looking at the sky)
GAP_Trixie
When, like really when did it become acceptible to go below 60 again, like wtf.
Cloud_N0ne
The fact that the Switch can run 3rd party games at a consistent 30 is laughable.
Mosaic78
Wow being honest
killa-cam87
Soooooo why would anyone buy this?
technobeeble
The console is 1 month old and already can’t run current gen games at a respectable level. Typical Nintendo.
ToTeMVG
man the people working at gearbox really gotta learn how to shut randy up because hes not been doing borderlands 4 any favours lmao, i mean cool heads up i guess
DarthVyseWick
I am having *Borderlands 2 on the Vita* level flashbacks.
Lollipopsaurus
Borderlands games have a fuckton of particles and effects. “Some dips” may as well be “whenever you’re in combat”
Company_Z
The thing is, I’m not buying a Switch 2 for Borderlands 4. I’m buying it for other games. The fact that it’ll be released for Switch 2 is fine, but I feel like if anyone has been a long time fan of the series, they weren’t gonna get it on a Nintendo console as their first pick.
The way some people seem to be upset it’s gonna be kneecapped on the console that’s well established as having lower performing hardware seems weird. Just don’t get it for that console.
Kayonji02
Not surprised.
The price for portability is worse performance. Maybe Nintendo exclusives will achieve the legendary 4K60fps, but for third party games people better get accostumed with the good old 1080p30 / 60fps docked.

Well, at least they’re honest…
Dips at 30 FPS is unacceptable in the modern age.
