Never felt so horrified doing a game mission before except the final hours of spec ops the line. I can’t even fully describe how horrible I felt going through the Cynosure facility but I did it for the extra ending which totally worsened the feeling. 9/10 experience I will never repeat

I absolutely bloody hated it. It’s it something that might happen in the world of cyberpunk? Absolutely. Probably more so than a random merc with digital schizophrenia offing Adam Smasher.
But man, it’s such a departure from cyberpunk’s gameplay that I love so much. And I know why I never play survival horror games. I just don’t enjoy that kind of thing.

Genuinely had to collect myself after this, Something you cannot kill in a game where almost everything is killable? Hell no. Not to mention “Warning: sandevistan software error” Get me out now.

I fucking HATED this mission, in a good way.

This mission gave me ptsd if I see that robot anywhere near me again I am either bolting faster than a car or just straight alt f4ing myself

I saw people talk about it before I got there, comparing it to Alien: Isolation, which I have beaten.
So I had high expectations for it to be super scary like A:I was, but for me it felt mild by comparison, a more watered down version of A:I where avoiding it was pretty easy. It did catch me once near the end on the way out.
Mind you that’s not a complaint necessarily, because if it had been A:I level difficulty wise it might have frustrated even more people who bought the game expecting action rather than horror. (I recall being annoyed by a Batman game’s car racing portions given I didn’t buy a racing game, so straying from the main genre of the game is risky). Their approach was likely the correct one.
Tone-wise, the devs did a great job showing us why the black wall needs to exist and the consequences of it being compromised.

What mission? You’ve peaked my interest.

A level of tension and frustration I’ve never felt even close to in any other moment in this game. fuck it was good tho, I hate that thing with every fiber of my being but if the goal was to make me paranoid and scared shitless playing in the dark with my headphones on it worked masterfully
Geezer-Man
This is that Metroid Dread influence but turned up to 11

I hated it from the bottom of my heart. Needed to play it partially to handle the pressure of that robot. I will always choose songbird ending from now on.
Shin-Tristan
Loved it, especially after taking down those harmless max tac clowns at max lv and no enemy is a challenge anymore, then this level, it’s great!

This mission alone made it so I’ll never betray so mi in any subsequent play though hell I made a save right at the end of this so I only had to do it once
JCDickleg7
I am gonna start a new save just to try this ending.
kakucko101
this quest basically was songbird propaganda from cdpr /s

Had to take breaks and was saving scumming like nobodies business lol wasn’t prepared for this mission.
Ending was devastating and had to ponder the different choices for a good while…
Chose to let Songbird die, but man did that feel depressing. Seeing flashbacks of her growing into the present version of herself was a nice touch as well.
After seeing her betray so many people and with so little regard for others, I believe granting her death is the best outcome in a set of shitty ones.

Best level in the game for me. Really welcomed change of pace and the vibe and dread were fantastically done. I do wish the songbird side of Phantom Liberty had a an equal mix up to gameplay that this gave us.

I think I missed the blueprint for the cool gun though.

Wait, how did you get this ending? I sent Songbird to the moon

I was genuinely mad at the developers, first playthrough of PL. In some ways I feel their just punishing you for betraying Song.

I’m pretty familiar with Games Like Amnesia The Bunker , Alien Isolation , RE2R, RE7 etc ..
So for me it was rather easy to go around, once i understood the pattern of the AI of this abomination.
