




I just got New RTX 5080 Aorus Master and a bunch of Thermal Grizzly products. Tested the Card in a few games benchmark, 3DMark, and FurMark after which I opened the card, cleaned it and applied TG Conductonaut Extreme and TG Putty Pro. I also added an additional protection wall against Liquid Metal using TG Shield Coating.
I thought I'd share the photos of the 5080 Master's inside, as I could not find any online myself.
Btw, it was my first time ever working with both Liquid Metal and Thermal Putty so… there is a bit too much of both, but the results are as they are suposed to.
Both 10 min stress tested in FurMark 2.9. BEFORE: 64C Core, 60C Memory. AFTER: 59C Core, 56C Memory.
5 Celsius lower Core temp and 4 Celsius lower Memory temps. OverClock Stable at 3217MHz at 1025v in all previously mentioned. (no 4th extra fan installed)

Yeah, by the looks of it you’ve used like more than double the amount of putty needed which ‘could’ cause problems even if putty’s main stenght is that it can be very forgiving and excess will squeeze out if allowed to if not anything nearby on the PCB hinders if from spreading, which can cause problem to the overall contact.
If it might be of any help you can see my before & after pics to get an idea of how good putty normally spreads.

well at least you got that that crap that gigabyte used that seems to be gooping everywhere and slowly falling off the components it was meant to heat exchange to.
