Synapse is absolute garbage. One of the many reasons I don’t use razer peripherals anymore

Some of these peripheral companies software are actual computer stds like holy shit

Fuck synapse 4 I went back to 3.

Ah, the reason I threw a DeathAdder mouse into the trash, shit software that insisted on installing itself even though I didn’t want to use any of its features after setting up the onboard profiles. This blatant abuse of the Windows driver ecosystem through Windows Update should’ve already been forbidden by MS.

Huh is synapse as bad as people say? I’ve had it because I got a basiliskv3 hyper speed for Christmas and the only issue I’ve had is that around feb the software thought my asrock mobo was a razor mobo and overtook the rgb control and synced it to my mouse instead of openRGB which all I had to do was remove the “razor mobo” and it fixed itself

Only reason I installed Synapse was to set the lighting on the Basilisk v3.
Since then I’ve been through 2 new PC’s and that malware has stayed on their servers.
Only peripherals I have left is the mouse and mouse pad. I haven’t yet found a reason to be replacing them.

That shit literally bricked my hard drive for a good week until I figured out I could put Linux on my flash drive and then use the flash drive operating system to format the drive that was corrupted

Downloaded openrgb yesterday, worked so well straight away, overall feels so light to use and fast

I don’t even know how it does it, how does plugging in a Razer peripheral trigger the whole dang synapse to install? Unless I just realized while typing this Razer submitted synpase as the driver itself? So windows starts downloading it immediately in the background?
