It was imo just very very mediocre and riddled with dumb enenies.

  2. MrVulture42

Well, I guess Expedition 33 was so successful then because its “franchise” was more interesting. The cope is just getting embarrassing.

Dear corpo game publishers: Just. Make. Good. Games.

  3. DoctorKomodo

The declining interest in the Star Wars franchise being caused by a steady slog of thoroughly uninteresting content like Outlaws.

  4. A_Random_Sidequest

oh, that explains it… I thought it flopped because it was just a bad game

    LOL

  5. HighMagistrateGreef

Perhaps if people stopped making shit games in the franchise, people would be more interested in it

  6. TheFabiocool

oh, and here I was thinking it was because the game was shit.

    The more you know

  7. Playful-Whole7859

Shit games, shit movies, shit TV shows, I wonder why interest is declining? No, must be the customers fault. >.<

  8. Reath_Silass

That’s why battlefront 2 was breaking its own records last month XD

  9. Reasons for skip (at least for me):

Needed lot of vram to run at max settings

    Game breaking bugs

    Main character not that interesting

Horrible launch price for all content

Mediocre mechanics at this time and age

  10. Ubisoft’s inability to just take their (many) Ls and learn from them is one of the reasons they’ve been circling the drain and sinking.

    I am out of touch!?

No it’s the children that are wrong! – Ubisoft

  12. These people are so out of touch with reality it’s actually insane. I remember watching a gameplay video of Outlaws where your character had to go into a Sarlacc Pit to retrieve an item, and it was so basic and boring, and I thought to myself then that only Ubisoft could make such a cool ass concept like that mind bogglingly mediocre.

Moronic CEOs: “SW:Outlaws and The Acolyte flopped, so clearly people just don’t like one of the biggest IPs in history anymore 🤷🏻‍♂️”

Meanwhile Jedi Survivor and Andor are universally acclaimed by both critics and audiences…

  14. I only tried the game out when I could for free, and never bought my own copy. It was a bug-ridden mess, and what I found when I played wasn’t a game I was looking for. Its greatest achievement was making me consider playing through the Smuggler campaign of The Old Republic again.

I don’t want to play as Han Solo, much less a poorly-done female version of him, I want to customize my own character to take on a Star-Wars adventure. I don’t want to just stick with a pistol for the whole game; I want a mix of weapons, maybe even an armory on my ship with racks I can modify/pick from.

I just… don’t know who the target audience of the game was, but it wasn’t me, or most star wars fans. You can’t blame Star Wars losing interest for a problem when you aren’t trying to appeal to its fanbase to begin with.

  15. ElonsMuskyFeet

Tell that to EA. Jedi survivor anyone? Sure though Ubisoft keep telling yourself that, the more horrible games you release the better the indies sell.

  16. RosbergThe8th

Every day it becomes harder to ignore just how bloody clueless the corporate types who run the world are.

  17. AssassinLJ

You couldn’t have other guns other than a pistol and if you tried to take them with you in driving or ladder you drop them.

You couldn’t steal or make chaos on towns.

You couldn’t do missions in total chaos if they wanted you to be sneaky so if you failed instead of letting you innovate yourself you just failed the mission and back to the start.

Graphics looked good only on still moments with RT as it felt like having a filter all the time.

Takedowns were slow and took to long.

    No customization on anything.

Ok please enlightenment me how people lost interest when Jedi Survivor not even a year before was doing numbers????

  18. JerbearCuddles

Jedi Survivor did just fine, and that game was an unoptimized mess. Might still be I dunno. Outlaws failed cause Ubisoft’s own personal brand is shit. Star Wars fans don’t want to play Assassin’s Creed, the Star Wars edition. Not to mention your 5 different overpriced editions.

  19. TriniumBlade

Outlaws sold badly because it was a 40$ game sold for 100$. You cannot reuse the same boring ass Ubisoft game template on every single franchise and expect people to pay premium for it.

  20. Declining interest in the specific way certain people want to portray this franchise, definitely.

  21. Declining interest in the Ubisoft open world formula

  22. Something-Red7

The fucking arrogance from this company is baffling.

  23. How much do these analyst get paid to make this kind of story

  24. SwimmingAd4160

Are there any French people who can give insights why they act like this? Every statement they make is just mustache twirling evil. Almost parody.

  25. Standard “not our fault” logic.

Sucks that all those morons responsible for that crap earn millions.
