Is this not known already? Their fixes didnt work for all users and even after patch some users kept facing the issues.
Maybe the error goes deeper than something that a software patch can fix, and in that case they can just try and make it so that the frequency of these is lesser than before.

Why do they keep calling it a “bug”? Fucking liars. A bug would imply an issue with the cpu design. It is nothing but an unsuitable factory overclock Intel implemented to catch up to AMD. They must have known that this would fry the silicon but they didn’t care because they needed the benchmarks to look good.

they cant fix a manufacturing error with a stupid bios/microcode update. whoever falls for their “it’s fixed now” scams is too gullible. we’re now on the 3rd iteration, and intel keeps quiet as long as the media keeps quiet. the easiest solution is to help your brethern who are asking help for a new build, and not just recommend them an intel one.

From what I understand, that’s happening because they (being customers) haven’t applied the patch to fix the original issues.

There is a reason that im going to AMD when my 12700k eventually becomes too slow. Which still likely wont happen for like 2-3 more generations.

If you look this post in the intel sub its completely different. People actually disected the issue and its not the processors as it crashea on brand new ones as well. Its a bug with mozilla.

I have been on Intel CPUs since I build my first PC, and all the laptops I have had over the years have been with Intel CPUs since that is the brand I know. When upgrading from my 10700K, you bet I am going with AMD.
Was going to upgrade with 13th gen, but the performance increase compared to price was not that significant, and my 4070 isn’t really bottlenecking with the 10th gen. Waited for 14th gen, that was a fiasco.
So now I am eyeballing that AMD something with X3D in it’s name. Not the top one, but the middle one.

Start a campaign like stop killing games for this intel so called bug?.

I’ve had to change to PTM7950 on my I9 13980HX laptop to get it stable again.
Partially due to the ambient heat and partially due to the factory LM getting displaced.

that engineer is claiming that raptor lake is getting too hot and as such drawing more voltage which is the stupidest fucking thing ive heard as it completley contradicts ohm’s law

i mean if your company was losing billions you would say whatever you had to so you could still make your million dollar bonus this year.
i was banned from prebuilts for telling people to avoid 13th and 14th gen intel and recommending amd prebuilts

I have an all-AMD system since April of this year and AMD GPUs since 2022. No worries here!

That’s assuming everyone had updated their bios.
Stange my Intel 13900ks system has been rock solid despite the heat.

Between this and the dying X3D’s, I really think these manufacturers are flying too close to the sun with transistor size

I’m mostly AMD on my workstations, but my 13900KS is still a freaking beast. Stop drinking clickbait cool-aid. Returns are less than 2%.

i’m glad i went with the then new am5 platform even though tech channels were so excited about the bajillion cores of intel cpus because they included the efficiency cores, but conveniently ignored that the top SKUs thermal throttled even with the best cooling solution.

Well well well, where’s the intel fanboys now?
