If you dig deep enough, 4 years back to be specific, my couch battlestation setup made the front page of reddit somehow. Folks thought it was unique. Less than a year after that post I had a basement flood that forced some much needed renovation and change and this is my couch battlestation 2.0.

I'm a casual gamer. Like easy mode everything type of guy. While I love Keyboard and Mouse, I mainly use my gaming controller on this setup with Steam Big Picture Mode. But the Cycon Couchmaster is still a must have.

My PC handles the games on my 4K 120hz frame TV no problem. 4080 Super FE, 9700x, itx undervolted yada yada.

This room is also my retro collection room.

For a pure battlestation setup look at the rest of the pics (link below) as that door on the right was a walk-in closet that got turned into…. you guessed it…another battlestation.

Can I ask where you got the lapboard from? I’m doing some renovations to my basement and part of it is a high quality home theatre and so I want it to be more or like a console and PC mini battlestation.

TV literally high as possible. By that, I mean way too high.

I respect the hell out of the collection, but as someone who loves games more than any other form of entertainment, I cannot imagine giving up half of my potential screen size, to store additional game cases.

Even as a collector myself, I’d rather go all digital and get a massive display so I can get really immersed… instead of a TV touching the ceiling. Again, it’s a nice setup, I just couldn’t make that trade off myself.
