From Resetera:
"Dutch magazine Power Unlimited published their review in the edition of their physical magazine that came out today. They gave the game a 96/100.
Some interesting tidbits:
- Reviewer says the game is very easy. Calls it easier than Kirby.
- Reviewer also calls it the new king of 3D platformers ("Move over, Mario!") because of how much fun it is to play and the unique experience the fresh gameplay gave him. Says the next Mario has to be "veeeeery super" to beat this game.
- He finished the game in 24 hours, but mentions only having collected 25% of the collectibles so there's still enough to explore.
- Says he thought Pauline would be annoying before playing the game (mentions annoying Zelda companions as a comparison) but quickly grew to love her when he started playing.
- He thought the game would become monotonous in its destruction, but they do a lot of creative things with it so it never got stale for him."

Played demo at a kiosk in Walmart and was smiling like an idiot while playing it. It did seem genuinely very fun for the 10 minutes I played it.
The GOAT never misses
Cant wait for tomorrow. It’s monkey time!
I can’t tell if the game scored high… or the reviewer was…
The biggest drawback for me, which tends to be usually the issue I have with most modern Nintendo games, is the fact that it is so easy.
It’s not even like I’m a difficult video game aficionado or anything like that, I don’t even play from software games, but “even easier than Kirby” is crazy to me personally.
Very easy and finished in 24 hours are exactly my problem w these sort of games
I want to be very excited, but my racism against the Dutch is holding me back. Let me know when a Portuguese gets ahold of it.
Scoring should really be based around other games in some line either above, below, or on one another to compared better than some 96 being higher than SMO, like, highly doubtful this game is actually better than it, but we’ll see.
Easier than Kirby? Does it play itself?
Odyssey
That’s cool. My only concern is the game being easier then Kirby games. I’m not saying I want some ultra hard rage inducing game, but I’d like more of a challenge from odyssey, since the only really hard part was the last triple moon
We’ve seen this MANY times, Starfield had a first review that was 95/100.
Just WAIT for tomorrow!
I still need to play Odyssey, but if this is even close to as good as Astrobot, I’ll be thrilled. Astrobot is amazing.
You can’t compare one reviewer score to the metacritic score of other games.
Easier than Kirby is a bit concerning though. DK has always been awesome because it was never afraid to be challenging, I would argue it’s Nintendos most difficult franchise
