I have too many cars/bikes (via mods or purchased) to really care for this particular vehicle. So I let him keep it, not my style, not my noise.
Chunky-overlord
No, I let them keep the car and gave them the money always wanted a baby to be named after me
NapClub
i took the car as a favor to his girlfriend.
he needs to learn.
Shizuo35
Always let him keep the eddies. The car? Eh…. Sure you can change the pain job on it but I let him keep it.
X-_-LUNATIC-_-X
I let him keep both, I don’t need the eddies and that car is hideous.
Responsible-Durian21
Take the car, let him keep the Eddies. Choom’s got a kid to take care of, and in Night City, having a car like that is just begging for a car jacking.
Successful-Goal1083
I don’t take anything from him, or his wife and unborn child. It’s not their fault, he lets his mouth write checks his butt can’t cash. And not taking from him when I could’ve taken everything it could be the valuable kick in the pants he needed to be more responsible.
rhn18
Depends who I am roleplaying as. Usually Corpo might take both or just money. Streetkid maybe just the car for style. Nomad will let him keep both.
MindlessWasabi1298
I let him keep the eddies and I kept the car. It’s unique and I’m a collector in games so I wanted it
Nellow3
My V was already loaded before this happened, and that car isn’t my jam
I wish there was more of a “you can keep everything, but stop being a fuckin idiot” line, though 😂
Daniel_Delgado
I usually keep both because I find him extremely stupid and unsympathetic and don’t feel sorry for him
DeliciousAirline5302
Obviously I take the car. It’s mine now.
jehutydark
I let him keep everything. Eddies are so easy and I don’t like the car anyway.
-E-L-Y-K-
I kept it thinking it would be good for something and when it wasn’t, I went back a save and let him keep it
nikovladim47
Let him take all. V not gonna enjoy that for long.
MrWonderfulPoop
Take car, leave eddies.
scarlettvvitch
Let him keep it
Valerie might have a terrorist in her head and suffer from mild cyberpsychosis, but she’s not evil
ho1ycrapitsmatt311
Its Night City, everything is mine
Markel100
Take the car give him the Eddie’s plus he needed to downsize his car he has a kid otw
Bankai_Lrd_Jman
I let him keep it, im playing Corpo I wouldn’t be caught dead in that hoodlums car and I didnt need the eddies so I let him keep them so his baby could get some peasant milk.
torrenaxe
Let em keep both. Mom needs it
Practical-Dingo-7261
My car now. Keep the worthless eddies.
ArtistLovely
I’ve always given him the car and the eddies because I’d feel too bad taking either of them. They’re both young and dumb, obviously, and it’s his fault they’re in debt, but you cant blame the girl for his moronic behavior. Plus, he names the baby after you (kinda) and it’s a feel-good feeling knowing that they still have transport and money to help their family.
LieNo2807
Take the eddies, let him keep the car. That way he can sell it and earn some money back
BastianZee
I took it, love driving nightime thru NC with good music on.
GreatKangaroo
I take the car but leave them the eddies. I love cruising around night city in this car.
Theundertaker808
Took the car, don’t think I took the $. Had to leave with something but I rarely used it anyway
mauveoliver
Neither.
Huh_well_we_are_dead
I let him keep both. Between Ozob, the twins, and Razor, I can afford to show some mercy to a soon-to-be father.
MDFHASDIED
I take the money because at that point stuff is very expensive.
gayspaceboiii
I was poorer than the beggars my last playthrough, so I kept the eddie’s. My first one though, I took the car.
ledodoq
I took the car, the eddies, the wife and the kid.
I took his life too.
I became this gonk.
wisebear42
Beating his ass AND letting him keep the money and car – I wanted my legend to spread and my street cred to rise. Worth way more than the car I didn’t like and the money I didn’t need.
Let him keep the money and car every time I can easily make more money and I don’t really like the way the car looks plus homie is a father to be so he’s gonna need money and a car to properly take care of his new baby
PerfectlyCalmDude
Streetkid took the car and let him keep the eddies. Also, Streetkid’s Archer Hella got blown up right after getting it back from Delamain.
apoortraveller
my corpo takes the money but she has some humanity in her so she leaves the car
memorycard24
Took the eddies. He’ll have to sell that car to learn some responsibility.
Fit-Surprise1941
Let him keep it. No offense to anyone that likes it, but I think that model of car is so ugly, clunky, and tacky IMHO haha. Plus, I was like dude take care of your baby and keep the car and cash. Just make sure to buy the little one a good car seat haha and nice night out for your wife. 😅
Ok-Claim444
Let him keep the car and eddies for multiple reasons.
V is dying. I don’t want the car. I don’t need the Eddies
I have the opportunity to create a rare and authentic moment of human kindness and connection in a city as rough and cutthroat as night city. As a street kid, v understands just how meaningful and needed this is.
Some people say they take one or the other to punish him or teach him a lesson, but it’s not up to me to pass judgement on him.
V has a ghost stuck on a chip in their head due to their own series of incredibly stupid and reckless choices. Feels hypocritical to me to pass judgement on the guy.
And I mean logically, if your intent was to punish the guy and teach him a lesson, it would be because he has a baby on the way, right?
You want him to be a good and responsible father for the baby. Therefore, you care about the baby’s well-being.
Well, a car to drive around in and some money will really help that baby out, don’t you think? Taking either one is counterintuitive.
You want to help the baby by taking resources from the baby. That’s illogical.
In my opinion, it just serves the ego to take anything from cesar under the guise of teaching him a lesson. Seems self-righteous.
If you take anything, take it cause you won the fight fair and square, and it’s rightfully yours. It’s OK to do that.
At the end of the day, he totally just got his ass beat in front of his pregnant wife. The lesson is very clear, and I believe the ass beating was plenty of consequence for him to have learned it. His text messages later on indicate that he did.
Not saying any other choice is wrong, it was a fair fight, and he knew what he was getting into. But this ending feels good to me, and I like to cut through cynicism sometimes. It’s real and makes v give off those “old school gangster that looks over their neighborhood” vibes.
