So easy to remove the sticker and swap to a worse drive. Yuck.

I was so close to buying that. Almost glad it went out of stock when it did.

I bought a “factory refurbished” drive that had 57k hours on it…so that kind of sucks. Fucking Amazon.

It feels like the only place to buy real computer parts is in a reputable electronics store.

I hope you’ll be able to return it.

This is why I’ve been saying don’t buy hardware from amazon.

That’s how I felt about my inland drive. It just shows up as a generic SSD n I searched for a way to tell if it’s real but micro center doesnt have a program for them. But it’s not that important, I’m using it on a Asus rog m.2 travel drive. I think it’s called Orion 🤔or aryon. Something something

Can you tell the seller name from whom the shipment was done, wanna make sure not to go with that in any case.

Will windows detect something like this as 990 Pro?

I guess I should stick to buying anything above 1TB from Canada Computers and whatnot.
Zealousideal_Side987
I always buy from shops . If they do anything crazy or late refund It’d be their last day of business

Stop buying media on Amazon. Seriously just don’t.

Probably someone else bought a 990Pro on Amazon and turned his old 970 with 990Pro sticker

Hi hello amazon fc employee here the person who scammed you isn’t amazon directly unless the item was sold and shipped by amazon im sorry this happened to you but if the item was sold or shipped by a different company they were the ones to scam you that or the items box had a lpn sticker which means it was a return and deemed good to sell at a lower price again sorry this happened and best of luck with the return
