GOTY 2025

I was so happy to learn you could use skill in the combat rather than just being solely turn based. Absolutely Game of the Year.
GOTY 2025.
Preach brother
I wish all those images from end credits be available to download in 4K somewhere 🙂
Turn based is boring af, but I’m glad people are enjoying it so much.
Edit: i must have struck a chord with this one
I’m playing this right now. Within an hour of playing it I could tell this would be one of my favorite games. The hype is 100% deserved
I’ve played this game, and im halfway through Act 3. Who is that next to Lune?
It isn’t Emma as she doesn’t have her hat, and it can’t be Maelle as she’s with Gustave. And it can’t be Sophie as she’s with Gustave as well
Anyway if E33 doesnt get GOTY the industry deserves to rot
Man I wish this pic was available in 4k, that would be such a dope wallpaper!
As for the post itself, couldn’t agree more. It’s an absolute triumph and one of the best games I’ve played in a *long* time.
I’d argue that most game developers have a lot of passion for what they create and work on. It’s the C-suite asshats and their shitty decisions that make it seem otherwise
Funny how there was an ad for Borderlands 4 right after this, of which I know will be a disappointment.
I wouldn’t even say passion. Im sure a lot of devs have passion and want to make amazing games but are hampered by the higher ups and shareholders and the whole “this game HAS to be out before the end of the fiscal year so just put it out!
This is about being brave enough to put RISK and creativity back into game making, not following trends AND to show that people still have an interest in single-player story driven experiences. Not every game HAS to have a multi-player decade long life cycle with battlepasses out the ass.
Between these guys and larian and sandfall (and trusty weirdos like Kojima) I may start to “believe” in studios again
I saw this at the end credits and choked up when I noticed monoco chasing his little buddy around off to the left.
I really liked the intro of this game and have GP right now and have been trying to talk myself into playing it more, but tbh it gets a little bit too dense and weird for me, both the story and world and the gameplay as well. Between how alien all the levels and everything look to how much you have to learn the enemy animations I want to want to keep playing but simultaneously also not really wanting to play it at the same time.
The game was solid. I guess I’m an outlier when I say I found the story convoluted and confusing. Still enjoyed it!
You are only saying that because you liked the game.
This game was an absolute masterpiece.
