So now NA and SA teams who would have been in line for a global invite have just been completely removed from any possibility of attending the event.
How can it be possible to make such significant changes to an event with no repurcussions?

Unfortunately that’s one of the big reasons we have the current ESL/BLAST/PGL triopoly in tier-1 CS. Apparently no one else is willing/capable of hosting a tournament properly.
