Not even remotely. It’s a nice reference to the show, but it’s clumsy and the kick makes it borderline useless.

I’d say it’s easily Ba Xing Chong but that’s a very endgame one.
It’s pretty good earlygame, but I find the recoil and slow reload a bit too sluggish for my liking. I tend to replace it with Mox later on, depending on what kinda build I’m going for.

Nope…..imo DB2-SATARA is the best. Then there’s Dezerter.
from the easily accessible ones at the very beginning of the second act — yes, but I like 3-4 others, but they are accessible much later
No Guts is good early game but late game that shit is fucking ass
I love Guts, but it kind of fell off for me later in the game due to the slow reload. Most of the shotguns are decent and pretty fun to use, but my favorite is definitely the testera. Very beefy damage and super fast reload, and the recoil is a lot more manageable than Guts. I like to combine it with the cyberware that makes a shock aoe on the first shot, along with the explosive mod from PL. Literally dropping frame rate from all the damage numbers and visual effects.
That said, nothing feels as chunky as Guts. That recoil is BIG DICK ENERGY
It’s the best gun to use when you want to reach restricted parts of the map as the recoil is strong enough to keep you in the air a little longer when jumping off a building.

Ba Xing Chong is probably the best damage wise but Guts is much more versatile. As far as i know it’s also the only shotgun allowing you to do another jump after shooting. So you can dash, double jump, air dash, shoot gun, jump again and then air dash again, making it possible to cover ridiculous amounts of distance in the air
I really like it because I recently discovered it can kinda make you fly because of its recoil which is pretty fun. Not to mention if you run a sandi you can use it very effectively
I honestly do prefer the Mox.. But Guts for.. Emotional reasons
Guts is one of the most fun but does struggle in the later game. Polzhar x-MOD2 iconic variant found in PL DLC with kneel and firecracker (from DLC also) mods attached becomes not only the most fun and powerful shotgun but potentially the most over powered weapon in the whole game

This is truly a game where if your build is good enough you can use whatever weapon you want 🙂
Only a few weapons are tiers above the others like the Black Wall gun for example.

I really liked my custom Satara with Kneel and Vivisector. Splat!
Base Satara is the best but Guts is my personal favorite
My current run is also the first one I used shotguns in extensively as I attempted to build a Space Marine out of my V. I found Guts to be super fun to use, especially in the early game.
I loved the stopping power it has. It allows to keep a distance between you and the enemies, which is crucial in the early game. I ultimately preferred the Igla and that’s kinda the takeaway.
Use whatever weapon you want. If you really like it, you will find a way to make it work. Just have fun and never stop fighting!

No, only because of the fire rate and the reload time. The double barrel (long barrel) is better in my opinion.
The Dezerter with the proper specs for me is the best.
