I built this site with a friend (it's been in development for over a two years now). We have finally hit over 500+ 3D parts and wanted to share with you guys! Let me know your honest feedback.
Check it out at www.buildcores.com
We've also open-sourced our products database of PC parts (if you want to help contribute to what we're building or want to do something interesting yourself with the data.

Also, sorry had to implement ads since hosting is expensive :/
We also have a 3D [iOS](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/buildcores-part-picker-for-pc/id1441971434) and [Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.buildcores.buildcores&hl=en_US) app now
This is the most useful thing since part picker
Nice work!!!
This is how well used sites are started. Keep it up.
Fucking insane, nice!
Oh this is REALLY good
excellent stuff!
Like PC building simulator but more RGB and less game! Nice
Insane
3d printed working pc when?
ive been using it, it is pretty good, has a more expensive parts than pcpart picker (2k vs 4k usd) so thats a plus for when i want to do expensive builds for fun
amazing
Dope!
Now make it into a video game and call it PC Building Simulator… Oh, wait…
Great, but f your cookie consent.
Love this concept. Just wanting to let you know that the app constantly bugs and won’t let me input anything. I have to restart it constantly to work correctly. I still love it!
This is really cool! Well done!
So sad Cooler Master towers are not yet modeled. But nice site
Great app! Srill no 3d models for the setup i’m aiming for but still cool!
Cool! Keep it up man that seems really nice
Well, that’s pretty fucking cool. Holy shit.
Just tried the mobile app for Android. On a ROG Phone 9 pro. Appears to have some bugs. I select a part and each time I have to close the app out of memory or else it won’t allow the next part to be added. Just sticks at loading build. Once opened again it only shows the case and no parts that have been added. I also can’t add the radiator on the top slot even though it is listed as a slot when you go down to the placement list. On the NZXT H6 Flow white.
Some of the parts I have are listed as placeholders (GPU XFX 310 Merc 7900XTX) is it possible to help supply images or a scan of the unit to help out?
Can you actually download the 3D models somewhere?
This is amazing! I’ll share it to my followers. Thanks
Please add Thermaltake Tower cases, they are very popular and have unique layout.
Really cool
How did you go about the visualisation? I wanted to do something similar for chemistry experiments. I’ve always just modeled everything in fusion360 and rendered it in there but I wanted to make it a browser application so my friends could use it as well and wouldn’t always have to ask me to render it for them
Next level.
I saw this a year ago and completely forgot abt it, thanks for showing this off again! Good timing as im about to buy a new case too 😊
I have been building my own PCs for 25 years now, this is one of the more novel things I’ve seen in my years when it comes to those early prep stages of a build. This could also be so useful for swapping individual parts out of an existing build.
Very impressive, will absolutely use for my new build. I love how you have live pricing where available while also accounting for tolerances etc, must’ve been a lot to program!
Just tried using it on my way home on my phone. I would love for it to have an option for a custom link to the product so if you are buying it from a local website then you can use that same link in the builder and still get all of the information. (Also custom parts in case the part isn’t yet in the database yet, with just the simple specs as an option)
Edit: it would also be good if we could choose our placeholder part so we can at least choose one we think is similar
This deserves to be a paid service but I am all for it being free.
Also quick question, does the sight support vertical mounted gpus? I’m looking into getting a vertical mount but I dont see and option on the site or app. Thank you
the android app is pretty cool
This is gorgeous and gave me the biggest smile I’ve had in a while.
Can I ask — if some of these things have tubes/wired and those connect to different other things based on where they are, is this beyond just a regular setup of adding models in space inside the tower? Like the models themselves have parts that can be config’ed/re-formed to move where they need to be realistic/plausibly “drawn”?
Nice job man
Wow! This is awesome!
How do we provide feedback?
When selecting a part and it shows the screenshots up top on mobile, would be nice to click and see a bigger image to zoom in.
Dude this is awesome.
