Built this little corner battlestation on a budget and it’s been holding up well.
-Both monitors thrifted for less than $10 each.
-Spartus easy-set digital alarm clock for $5.
-Fifine Desk Microphone ~$50
-Craigslist Optiplex 7040 PC tower running Windows 10 like a champion.
-Dell Keyboard + Lenovo mouse = thrift store combo.
-Desk’s a $15 corner unit from another thrift store. It’s a bit small, but it gets the job done.
All in all, I’ve got about $200 into this setup.
One thing I do want to fix: the monitors aren’t even in height. The left one’s definitely a bit too low for comfortable eye-level viewing. I’m thinking of sticking something under it to raise it up. Ideally I would prefer to use something budget-friendly that doesn’t look too janky. Any creative ideas from the hive mind?
I use it for work during the day and gaming in the evenings (mostly indie stuff and emulators). Curious what y’all would upgrade first if you were me. keyboard? monitors? chair? I’m open to suggestions, but keeping it budget-friendly for now.
