Because it feels like shit. One of the worst feeling guns in the game actually. Every sniper is better than this, excluding the NA45. It’s also not NEARLY as consistent as the better snipers.
I used it before but after the adjustments that were made to it it was very low in the top in BR before I needed 2 to 3 maximum shots to kill someone now between 3 to 5 and that is a sniper that should kill with 3 bullets maximum now I use the sks or an incendiary sniper
Was my main sr, but the way this gun shows in the screen in-game with its signature scope attached just blocks 30% of my entire screen

Comparing your build to my 3-line rifle build for MP, I can understand why. So, pros: faster mobility, faster ADS and that’s about it. 3-line rifle has lower hit flinch, able to 1 shot wall-bang and has longer steady aim count down (for holding angle or need a precise shot at longer range), additionally, the fire interval most sniper rifles are faster than SPR’s – which is critical in respawn modes. So yeah, SPR requires some skill to use.
Mk2 and Kilo bolt is simply better

I’ve been trying to camo grind the spr to gold for months. I just hate it.
Honestly the mk2 just feels so much better for the exact same role. Spr is a high skill threshold gun and I just don’t care to learn it when I can use the sks and win 95 percent more gunfights.

Honestly, i don’t either, i have always preferred it over the mk2 because it feels better to use, and it does what it’s supposed to do as a bolt-action marksman.
It’s probably because it’s kind of a niche gun compared to normal sniper and fulfills fewer roles than them
I dropped 35 on Alcatraz using a ground loot kilo bolt as my main pushing gun using it like a shotgun and it was unbelievable. My buddies were like holy shit, I’m going to try it. Somehow we all thought it was the spr the whole time and it just didn’t get the results and then my chat told us we were all using the wrong gun if we were trying to use what I had the game before. I have leggy camos on both and literally never used them, but I’d like too start. I’ll try your loadie.. I just don’t see myself killing 2 or 3 sweats with shotguns in close proximity like I was doing with the kilo bolt. I’m not sure what’s up with the movement differences in the two, but that was my main problem.
Used to be a good one till they adjusted the spr for it to feel bulky to use 🤷 but eh I bought a leggy skin for it anyways
Clunky as all hell. I’d always run it as a shotgun type quick scope machine. I liked it in the initial month but I lost interest as soon as the SKS or the Kilo bolt came to CoD. SKS or the Kilo are ultimately much better marksman rifles as they tend to specialise damage or fire rate. The SPR-208 was a good jack of all trades but terrible even when paired with any of the available attachments. To get it close to the Kilo’s TTK you’d need the longer barrel 308 mag and that only just gets you to the damage of the Kilo.
Skill issue
It’s the worst marksman, and if you make it like a sniper, why not use a sniper?
Back then it used to be good and was the undisputed best bolt action marksman rifle, but the problem was, how ignored it is by codm and how they buffed both the mk2 and the kar.
Btw the mk2 was debatably better than it before the buff, after, it became the best one shot marksman rifle.
In a nutshell, just better options.
Why use ts and mk2 exists?
The consistent onetap hitbox is not real without the .300 5 round mag, and you need a barrel to take advantage of the full range. There are marksmans that do better in that regard with no attachments at all.
