I’ve got fond memories of THPS4, but unlike everyone else, I didn’t actually play it on the PlayStation.
Of all things, I played it on my school’s eMacs (the special educational computer Apple made). The computer lab teacher had decided to sneakily image all the eMacs with THPS4 installed on it and he’d let some of us stay inside during recesses to play it.
Dreamcast was the way to play it with an official metal dreamcast arcade stick.
Loving it as my first THPS game. Hit my first million combo yesterday!
I have zero memory of 4. Like I remember it came out but they over saturated the market. By the time I even got to play 3, 4 had come out and I don’t think I ever touched it. I have way more memories playing the first 2 and THUG.
Just played it with my 9 y/o nephew. Kid loves it.

Did anybody else get the collectors addition or just me?
I played them on the GameCube I think. Too bad most of the original music didn’t make it into the remake.

Anyone else play THPS4 on PS1 like me? Didn’t know any better at the time and still regard it as one of my favorite games ever.
