The 47 dollar skin is pretty gross, no excuses for that. I feel like calling the auction thing gameplay boosting is misleading at best though. Anything you can buy there you can just go get naturally. And it doesn’t even affect the ranked pvp, the little greebles only apply to the mode where you grind for stuff so you can go get better stuff.

You certainly know where the game’s priorities are if that’s the first thing you see. “BUY BUY BUY for 47$!!” Alt+F4, uninstall.

I always get so bummed when I see these prices for micro transactions, but people keep buying them so companies are gonna keep implementing them

Just so people know, the “gameplay-boosting” auction house is very misleading, making it out to be P2W, when it’s not. The items you can buy (and sell) are for the PVPVE extraction mode that is more or less just a resource farming mode, where you might run across other players, but they are few and far between.
The actual PVP mode that is the meat and bones of the game is largely unaffected and separated from this.

The game is fun (outside of some balance issues). The game is free to play so gets money from it’s battle pass thing and skins. The skin in question is a character you can use instead of the one you’ve made yourself (good character creator btw), and a paint scheme for one of the mechs. You can just go grind for the paints and do the same thing pretty much yourself. This is for whales to show off and nothing more.
The auction house stuff is for a specific looter extraction mode. It has no impact on any other modes.

I saw it on game pass, I wonder if its worth playing

80 dollar games, 50 dollar skins, consoles that companies can kill when they feel like it. Nah, fuck it. I got my ps3 and I’ll load up old games. Shit is ridiculous

This game looks so sick but free to play always makes games worse. Makes me not want to try it
I have more money than time. I so wish this was just a normal priced game with progression you earn in game in a reasonable amount of time

Other week I see something about siege and a skin pack they made like $50 people lost their crap over it.
See this post about a 47$ dollar skin some people lose there crap about it.
But nobody every talks about games that do it worse such as poe2 with 80$ skin/armor sets/ $60 wings, game bundle/editions up to almost $400 and whenever I bring the game up I get downvoted lol

Honestly, micro transactions are fucking awesome. A bunch of people with too much money (or are bad with what money they have) buy a bunch of garbage I don’t care about and I get a free game.
Ralphie5231
The skin pricing is the same as every other free time play game? The market’s also a good idea that was implemented badly. There shouldn’t be 9$ minimum prices on laughing emoji stickers.

It’s really simple. If you don’t like the price. Don’t pay it. Stop purchasing skins because “all the good players have it” or some other nonsense.
If enough people actually just stopped buying micro-transactions, especially egregiously overpriced one’s like this, maybe we would see a shift from dev’s and publishers. I don’t have high hopes but it literally is the easiest battle. You simply Don’t buy the thing. No matter how shiny it is.

Side note, calling a mecha game a shooter in the title feels a tad reductive.

I also think the game is kind of super boring. Everything is a damage sponge. I don’t need games to be as fast as call of duty but maybe Halo 3 levels of kill speeds. I don’t know I guess the game just isn’t for me hitting eight the heavy sniper shots on somebody to kill them is kind of cringe in my opinion

Player count is because they are sponsoring tf out of basically any streamer
Alternative_Gold_993
Armored Core fans really hyped this game up and I don’t know why.

I’m okay with the gooner artstyle, but its just always in your face… Literally! You enter missions with a zoom in on your pilot’s ass.
