I’m just here to remind everyone Penny is best.

I mean I’ve played the shit out of it, but highest rated game of all time is HEAVILY overrating it. It’s a great game, definitely deserves the positive reception. But that’s just too much

The games been consistently at Steams Highest rated since release.

Tbh, it’s been Number 1 for atleast a week IIRC, so this isn’t all that new. Very well earned though, CA puts in great work.

I’m genuinely curious, what makes this game so good? Is it anything like Animal Crossing / Sims?

  5. Very good game but you’d never see me play it vanilla. Mods make the game even greater

  6. IzzatQQDir

I already stopped playing but good for the game I guess.

  7. One guy composed, designed, developed, and published this game. He’s probably set for life and a generation at this point lol

  8. Every time I see news like this is makes me happy that a game dev that actully gives a shit and loves his community and his baby project gets his moment in the sun. We are talking about a man who when someone posts that their game bugged he will PERSONALLY MESSAGE THEM ask for the save and unbrick the save and spend like hours fixing the bug.

  9. It’s nothing serious, guys. It’s a great game among many others at the top.

damn, bought it 2 days ago on steam sale, literally considered refunding it after one hour.

and I never refunded a game on steam.

still the best game on the switch and switch 2, for sure

I’ve never had any interest in farming sim games before, should I try out Stardew Valley regardless?

    1) Why is it so popular?

    2) What are its genres?

    3) what makes this game attracting half female users?

    4) ~~anything lewd?~~ (Just checking if this has any influence on its rating)

    5) What’s its game length?

    6) does this game have some randomness?

(If you reply well, i will consider buying it)

Even if its not your bowl of soup, you gotta pay respect to that guy! Solo developer, keeps adding content for free.

this makes me so happy, especially after a pretty crappy day. fuck yeah

A nightmare for OCD players, sadly, the opposite of relaxing 😬

  17. captainofpizza

    I’ve been gaming 35+ years.

I’ve probably done about that many years in game too.

Uh….different strokes for different folks i guess

  19. Revolvere

Uhh… I literally just bought Stardew Valley for the first time ever hehe 😅 this is great news for me.

  20. Not sure why but could never get into it. I’ve tried to start but seems complicated and annoying to manage a farm (even though it’s supposed to be chill and relaxing)

  21. Gucci_Unicorns

Underrated aspect of Stardew- it’s got a LOT of content for what looks like a small game. Some of the “end game” completionist stuff is grindy, but you won’t be done in a week 😂

  22. MikeFromSuburbia

Just “beat” the game after 60 or so hours. Fun time

  23. RedditOakley

Reminder to go watch Bobby Lee’s interview of ConcernedApe where Bobby just transforms into a autistic kid wanting to show and prove how much he has achieved in the game, and repeatedly exclaim how much he loves it.

It’s both the worst and the cutest interview I’ve ever seen

Top 5 goat for me. Among half life 2 outer wilds and snake eater.

Nah, fuck those people. None of them would dance with me at the spring dance. *goes and gets pixel petrol and burns down the valley*
