I don't understand whats the use of exfil wasn't it supposed to be kill or be killed i remember playing COD BO 2 zombies transit and wonder if this modern day zombies can never give those good old vibes ever back to me we used to go as far as 22/23 rounds barely now its so much easier

Is Vanguard your first “modern” COD Zombies game? Because exfilling isn’t a new concept. It’s just a way to give casual players a goal to strive for instead of just dying to end the game.
You could just let the zombies kill you if you don’t see the point in exfil. Also, Vanguard doesn’t represent modern zombies, that’s like saying AW represents old zombies. Vanguard is just dogshit all around, lol
