Made this after Xpert Fusion’s video. He made the excellent point that with both classic and modern modes, the maps and gameplay loop will always be designed for one only, whilst the other will suffer.
I read through all of the comments to bring together everyone’s ideas about how they could fit both systems together. It will never be perfect but I do think we can find a much better balance than we currently do.
There are still ways to have homogeneity to MP and Warzone and MTX opportunities, whilst preserving the core game play style. Rarity could be used as a more balanced weapon kit system, salvage can be included without being overbearing, loadouts can exist without changing progression.
Would love to hear other ideas. This was made quickly so yes it will definitely need tickering!

One of the only issues I have regarding this is the perk system
While I could see how prestiging to add a perk slot would encourage playtime, it could also just discourage playing zombies until your master prestige as well (Since MP and ZM levels are linked ofc)
It would also imply that there would be 15+ perks in the game’s life cycle since having 15 perk slots but not 15 perks ultimately means you don’t have 15 perk slots
It could also add to bloat because some people may want the 15 perks at launch so that they can actually reap the full benefits of their work but Treyarch is gonna have to ultimately add more perks in the post season, which would just be too many in general

the only one I disagree with is the rarity system not increasing damage, one of the reasons why I enjoy modern zombies is that I can use a bullet weapon past round 26 and have it still be viable

Why is everybody obsessed with making smgs viable? The only real difference with the new point system is that smgs are just a little less viable, and WW and shotguns are better in the early game… the smgs being viable is suhh ch Abdul response because smgs sucked in the OG mode

The anti clutter spunds like you’ll be addid a diff clutter. Bc saying you would do this is cool but without specific drop rates n more its jus a pipe dream.

I’d keep auto armour from Cold War in game though… except in a classic mode

We HONESTLY need to be more vocal about the zombie speed/player speed. It’s making every single map a bore fest. It’s just not interesting gameplay, it ain’t even challenging

I would honestly say the only issue I have is reverting to the old point system, everything else I’d say would be welcome changes
