May sound a bit silly, but that can easily happen. Rage-quitting and spamming ALT+F4 (which will prompt a window to restart if there’s no other programs open on Windows,) having an inconveniently-placed power button that you can bump into while moving your mouse around (like the Tryx Luca L70,) or if your power button is on the top, having a cat that enjoys how funny you look Gabe Newelling your monitor when they press that weird circle button. Also can’t forget the power going out or other power-related events that can happen.

This meme would have been almost fresh 10 years ago.
If you got a windows update those take a long time yeah “faster” on a ssd but still take a long time
There are programs that will need to close regardless so you be like oops cancel
Who the fuck even uses a hard disc drive in a new pc today? windows 10 already hates them but windows 11 you be glad to get into a application in under 3minutes when doing a cold boot.
Expect that Windows 11 takes ages to load Software after boot compared to Windows 10

I still remember my dying HDD that would boot for over 2/3 minutes

I have a friend who still uses a HDD. Claims he doesn’t need to upgrade his pc because it’s already “high end”… he put it together from free scraps and it uses a pre nvidia 1000 series gpu and takes 15 minutes to boot up.
It makes me sad that he really doesn’t know what he’s missing

Recently upgraded my PC (new motherboard, cpu, gpu and ram) and my pc boots so much faster while still using the same ssds

This is why I don’t understand why people are so into having long uptimes. Unless it’s a server, what does it matter. It takes longer to take a drink and stretch a bit than it does to reboot with a halfway decent ssd.

I down voted this.
Edit: as [DarkSkyKnight](https://www.reddit.com/user/DarkSkyKnight/) stated memory timings yeah that can be bad also regardless of your boot storage.
Windows?
Is that a Meme from 15 years ago?
