I know I should've shot a charged shot instead of spamming once I was cornered but in no way did I think that many zombies would be there since I just shot a charged shot!

You need to keep an eye on the lightning bow storm after you fire it. If it glitches into the stairs or into the left window, it’ll stop killing zombies.
Edit: Also if it moves too far away from the stairs, some zombies will get through.
I always thought the lightning bow strat was to sit at rocket teleporter
