I guess maybe the lowest tier budget card from the 60 series will finally beat the 1080ti. Then it can rest in peace.

This is just pathetic…
1080 TI Release Date: March 10th, 2017 – 8 years ago
You mean to tell me.. EIGHT YEARS LATER, YOUR 50 SERIES CAN ONLY BEAT A 1080 TI BY 1 FUCKING PERCENT?!
Why did you even release this?

The 1080Ti can still legitimately play games at a solid frame rate.
If all you play are indie games, older titles and competitive multiplayer games which are known to run on any machine due to how lightweight they are, like CSGO and valorant. You can stick with the 1080Ti for another few more years.
My Titan X died this year. Unstable under load 😠I gotta upgrade
Wolfgod_Holo
1080ti at this point will only die off when driver support ends and even then it’ll limp on for a year or 2

Now let’s see the performance per wattage

Reddit normally: don’t use X website. They use outdated graphs to represent GPU performance and it’s always skewed to the most useless metrics
Reddit ITT: use X website. They use outdated graphs to represent GPU performance and it’s skewed to the most useless metrics that benefit old GPUs

That’s because x50s were always at the bottom of the barrel.

Well a 300 usd card vs what was a 1500usd card.
Also power usage, DLSS, etc.

I hate NVIDIA, I really do, they are the only reason why I haven’t bought a PC in the past year, still with this glitchy laptop, and I think I’ll just have to give up soon when my laptop breaks.

Arnt they shutting down drive support for non RTX cards in the next update?
TheNamesRoodi
My 1070ti is still pretty competitive. I’m sure it’ll fizzle out soon though

I’m waiting to see if Intel takes their development program seriously. There’s such a large market to take just as long as they can hit metrics. But they need seriously good leadership and enough of a fiscal runway to pull it off.

so is there a fantastic amount of difference between a Ti and a regular 1080? was thinking of nabbing one to replace my 1650 if my PSU can take it

But seriously, the 5050 is a bad joke.
And there we have it, folks. There’s finally a shit tier card that beats mine. 980 TI is officially dead.
Sometimes I wonder that Nvidia isn’t ashamed by their own products like the 5050.
With all the trash happening in the low end, I was expecting it will be fighting 2060.
