To be honest.. such is life in NC. Most of the legends lie in the Columbarium. The protagonist is always the city, and no matter what the conflicts are, the city wins in the end and life goes on.

All we can do is make sure the things of beauty they leave behind never fade away.

Don’t worry, I am sure that they re-unite Lucy with him!

in game i found some dead choom and a cat (all nine of its lives spent) just off the road, THAT was sad & it gave me pause

This was for the people that were still high on copium about David (somehow) surviving… Also Rebecca.

He is not dead in my heart. I always get his Edgerunner perk in Cyberpunk.

I think it’s clear that David’s story is meant to be a cautionary tale so him being dead dead makes sense in my opinion as much as I might’ve liked him, in the second half of the series he made a lot of bad decisions

You should probably put this as a spoiler. Just to be sure.

Such is life in Night City.

Everything dies. There are no happy endings in Night City. You try to carve out your own little piece of the world and meet the same fate as everyone before, and after you. Likely unceremoniously or something not very cinematic. Then, just as quickly as you lived, you’re forgotten about. And fade away.

    Like dust in the wind.

Try as you might, fight as hard as you can, to be different, to make an impact, but we’ll all end up in the same place in the end. The columbarium.

I don’t think you could have a clearer on-screen death

Right after this they showed Becca’s destroyed body.

‘E’s not pinin’! ‘E’s passed on! This David is no more! He has ceased to be! ‘E’s expired and gone to meet ‘is maker! ‘E’s a stiff! Bereft of life, ‘e rests in peace! If you hadn’t nailed ‘im to the perch ‘e’d be pushing up the daisies! ‘Is metabolic processes are now ‘istory! ‘E’s off the twig! ‘E’s kicked the bucket, ‘e’s shuffled off ‘is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin’ choir invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-DAVID!!

When does cyberpunk2077 take place in relation to the anime? Because they have the whole side quest of you tryna find >!David!< and having Idr who it was reach out and be like, yeah, they don’t wanna see you. But the way they talk makes it sound like >!he!< >!is!< >!alive!<, so it just confused the hell out of me when I encountered it in game.

Wait, there were people coping that David wasn’t dead? That’s a hiiiiigh level of delusion.
