Add to the list with your own, and don’t tell me how unrealistic this is, it’s a roleplaying future fantasy game let a motherfucker dream please.

Updated Night City: Construction and Train lines being worked on previously now completed, taller city, expanded verticality like the picture with drivable (or rideable at the very least) AV’s, as well as a map that runs underground of Night City, like a makeshift sewer city inhabited by obscure gangs and outcasts.

More Gangs: There are so many other gangs we could see emerge into the city, and under the city, not to mention Chicago gangs that

Dynamic population: More citizens just doing shit, show us punks catching rides on the top of the trains because they don’t want to pay, have npc’s programmed to actually be going somewhere if we follow them, even if it’s just in a building that’s not accessible to the player. Have workers get off shift when their coworker arrives. Bar fights, random car accidents, etc. The first game is honestly really good at all this, but I just hope they take it even further, with more things happening actively and not only to be discovered after the fact.

Cyberware: More traversal cyberware. Monowire should be able to be used like Lucy in Edgerunners, swinging from it to close large gaps. Some shard in the game mentions cyberware that lets you climb buildings. I want that! Also far more cosmetic cyberware. Anything from the tabletop games you’d like to see?

More/Deeper Romance: Not only do I want the player to be able to date more, but also date better. Give us the option to go out on a date, from restaurants, to bars, to shopping, to drives, to movie theatres, etc.

Urban Legends and Unmarked Quests: Let’s see hidden quests involving cyber vampires, give us another serial killer to track down without another story character holding our hand through it. More mystery (throw r/FF06B5 a bone) more easter eggs (not that 2077 was lacking easter eggs, just want them to keep it up)

Bigger radio/television: People who love this game play it a lot, The songs get repetitive, and so do the ads we see/hear on tv all across the city. Sometimes when I’m playing I stop to eat or something, so I just park it in front of V’s television for 15 minutes, I just wish I hadn’t seen everything 100+ times.

Playable Braindances: This would be such a cool way to play mini games or try out non cannon ideas, like a zombie mode. Also, want more retro arcade games.

Story-wise: I think it would be cool if it was somehow tangled up with the mystery of Richard Night and his mysterious murder, some big conspiracy, but honestly I’m sure whatever it is they’ll knock it out of the park.

I feel like cdpr goes on war with every other types of details for World building except mechanics. Like for example*, how tf is not there self/auto driving option in cars, it’s such a small thing like they can add anytime. There could be hundreds of things like that which are small but contributes a lot to not just immersion but also world building.

My wishlist tho is long but mainly I want them to double down on whatever they do lol. And I want more complex, dark, etc story and things like “fk Corpo” should be a side plot, multiple Major plots. Like bladerunner, blackwall, AIs, Ghost in the shell, type sh!t mixed up together idk.

More branching and connected side quests with more choices and consequences. And most of the side quests should be triggered while exploring, in more complex manner and not just a call, get a gig, gig done. Witcher3 was goated at all that and still is.

And they need to make the world more futuristic, it has to feel that far into the future. I mean, except cyberware part everything else feels not that far into the future. Some more architectural complexity and technological progress like idk flying cars (being able to use it) is one thing but there could be more things to make it feel far future (mechazilla type stuff?), flying suits, etc. In terms of biotech… experiments labs with exotic stuff, (idk there should be a jurrasic park type something in general, a zombie park?). Space related stuff happening,…….a big ETC.
They don’t have to show all these, just world building with notes, articles, news, radio, posters, etc.
    Sorry for bad english lol.

    My list would be…

    1. **A longer main story (or one more fitting of the 25-35 hour time limit they imposed):** 2077 always felt rushed and disjointed to me, like parts of it were missing. The main story was good, it just felt like it could have been better if they gave it more time.
    2. **Multiple locations:** Night City is kind of defined now and seems somewhat static, which means that (in theory) constructing it should be a bit easier this go around. I like the idea of traveling to another place, even if it is in a DLC. Crystal Palace would be great. Another city would be cool.
    3. **More romance options:** Regardless of what you think about player-sexual vs. not it is a bit underwhelming to go from Witcher 3 or something like Baldur’s Gate 3 to 2077 where the options are rather limited. One of the best parts of replaying a game is trying out new things, including a new romance.
    4. **Keep the edge:** CDPR is opening a new studio in North America. I hope the franchise keeps its edge, remains dark and tells high quality stories. While they are bringing over some of the original team, you never know what those new 300+ people are going to bring once the team is all together. This is my biggest fear for this game… that the talent they put together for this new team ends up not being able to live up to the high expectations set by the original and the anime.
    5. **Expansions, plural:** The Witcher seems like they are going to try to knock out the trilogy quick. I hope with Cyberpunk 2 rather than moving to Cyberpunk 3 right away they give us quite a bit of DLC. CDPR makes the best DLC in the biz and I think you could argue that the DLC for both Witcher 3 and 2077 were better than the base games… because it was just that good. Keep building on the world, keep introducing new characters, keep giving us new stories.
    6. **Braindances:** This should get a complete overhaul and be made far more interesting, IMO. They just weren’t very good in 2077.
    7. **Side Content:** Phantom Liberty nailed its side quests as they all had some depth and even the dungeons they setup were pretty interesting. Even the stuff like the air drops and car returns were more interesting than the rather bland things scattered around the base game. I’d rather have less side content and what we get be deep, rather than just a bunch of random stuff slopped onto the map.
    8. **Profession:** They told V’s story and David’s story. Both of them kind of fit the same mold. It might be interesting if we are a detective, a soldier or something along those lines to mix it up a bit.
    9. **Power Creep:** V was out of this world powerful. To the point where we crushed Smasher as him. Going along with point 8 it would be nice if we were still strong, but that it was clear we weren’t over the top powerful in comparison to some of the other legends in the universe or bad guys we run up against.
    10. **Story/Setting:** I imagine there are a ton of different ways they could take it. I think a Corporate War could be a rather interesting setting though.
    11. **A Crew:** If we do play as someone like V or David again, it would be interesting if we could recruit a crew. Maybe even have companions along with us.

  3. Mr Stud implant naturally! Well not really….

I’d love if they went a bit deeper into netrunning as seen on the ttrpg… fighting daemons and all that good shit when hacking into a network.

  4. Before 2020 during interviews and gameplay, there were plans for the mantis blades to allow you to wall-climb, wall-running was also a planned feature.

**1. Crafting:** Crafting specs for everything, be it weapons, weapon mods, quickhacks, cyberware, or clothes. Also, items that aren’t iconics should be upgrade-able too. Honestly I never cared much for iconics.

**2. Weapon/Vehicle variants:** Let us choose the skin/variant of weapons and vehicles. There are so many NPC car variants that I like so much better than any of the cars that we can buy.

**3. Cosmetic Cyberware:** More variety of cosmetic cyberware. Perhaps a separate overlay can be swapped to while at a ripperdoc with different cosmetic cyberware slots.

**4. Clothing Colors:** As far as clothing goes, I would like to see more standalone color variants instead of color combos like blue/pink or yellow/green.

**5. 3rd Person:** 3rd person point of view option, better character shadow, and maybe mirrors that show your reflection (outside of turning them on).

**6. NPCs:** Smarter NPCs with more variety in appearance.

**7. Joining Factions:** Joinable gangs/tribes/corporations, and with them unique quests as well as repeatable missions. Perhaps reputation?

**8. Becoming a Target:** Higher street cred, and or pissing off certain groups (low reputation?) could lead to becoming a target of those groups along with unique mercs trying to take you down.

**9. Heists:** Heist missions where you can form a crew.

**10. Difficulty Options:** More customizable difficulty options where I can pay rent and need food/sleep.

**11. Life Paths:** Life paths are more involved, actually have substantial differences and feel, and aren’t just picking streetkid, nomad, or corpo.

**12. Support of the ttrpg roles:** In cyberpunk 2077 2.0+ there’s support for netrunners, techies/medtechs, solos, and a bit of nomad, but I’d like to see some more support of the other roles from the tabletop game that are more social in nature like the media, rockerboy, fixer, and corpo. Maybe in cool. Additionally, I’d like to see some perks for using drones/bots (netrunner or techie) outside of story missions. Maybe more vehicle related perks as well.

**13. Romance:** Have them be player-sexual, just makes it easier with more options for everyone.

**14. Dialogue:** Dialogue options say what will actually be said, the full line.

**15. Controversial Opinion:** Alright, controversial opinion, but I don’t want a voiced protagonist, or at least I’d like the option to make them silent. For a game based on a very open ttrpg, it’s very narrow on roleplaying options. You basically just play a slight variant of V, and even then 90% of it feels like streetkid V specifically. I’d like to be able to play different characters with different names, stories, and personalities. Having a set voice makes that difficult and leads to reduced dialogue options.

  5. Truebluederek

I want Gang Alliance, I want to be able to work with a gang rather than picking and choosing when to help. Clearly I’m a moxie girlie but like 6th street or Valentinos would be fun

  6. deepbluefrogmods

One major wish… that the game offers to the player on Day One every customization options afforded to NPCs – body types, cyberware, skin styles, hair styles, fashion, vehicles. If an NPC is wearing it or using it, the player should be able to as well. Oh… taht and 3rd person view, even if it is only in conversation mode. What’s point in customizing your character if you never get to see them in action?

  7. infiniteartifacts

Oh also, I’d love if you could eventually go beyond the Blackwall and have dungeon-esque gameplay where you traverse for iconic perks and quick hacks and face Rogue A.I.

That and Megabuilding dungeons for legendary, rare, and iconic weapons and clothing/armor/cyberware.

  8. Finetales

    * Longer main story. I was so engrossed in the 2077 story, and it just felt too brief. Let me relish in a story of that caliber that’s 60+ hours.
    * More immersion. 2077 is already the most immersive game I’ve ever played, but it can be so much more. Honestly just look towards the many 2077 immersion mods to see what I mean. Even the little stuff like sitting down at a vendor and actually consuming the food or drink you order makes a difference.
    * Either better/more fleshed out romances (and more of them), or none at all. The 2077 romances are comically limited once you finish the character quests that they just feel pointless.

  9. TheCodedWest

Yeah, I seem to agree with a lot of people on here,

    Longer story.

    More romance options.

More cyberware, and specifically cosmetic cyberware, things like exotic bodysculpting is a thing in Red, there’s an Animals boss that has scales, Lizzy Wizzy has chrome skin, and so on and so on, but one of the strongest mercs in Night City is walking around some of the lightest visible cyberware, the face cyberware you can get on the character creator and then the arms, Mantis, Gorilla, Projectile, or Mono.

More choices with consequences, I think the only choice that matters in thr main story of 2077 is the ending, nothing else changes anything, obviously one merc in Night City isn’t going to change the entire city, but like, it’s an RPG, People like to feel like they’re doing something. Like the side stories are so much more interesting than the vast majority of the story in my opinion, because choices change things, you can skip Joshua’s entire storyline by just doing your job, you can get Kerry to either team up with, or get a restraining order against the Us Cracks, and so on, and even the minor optional objectives like being stealthy or choking out and tossing the target in a trunk in the Gun For Hire missions gives a slight change, a small bonus or new dialogue call for the end of the gig. I hope people understand what I’m saying. In an RPG, I think actions should feel like they mean something.

    Joinable factions.

It should keep the Cyberpunk edge.

It should just have more stuff from the TTRPG.

More locations, I mean, that very brief moment is the hospital room in the Phantom Liberty ending where you can look outside and see trees, and it’s just such a welcome sight, location variety helps a game from getting stale to look at.

  10. AmeriCanada98

The grapple hand from the tabletop game as a cyberware is legitimately the only thing gameplay wise that I want that isn’t in the first game

  11. philz_baklava

    1. More customizable backstories like in the 2018 demo with actual reverberating consequences and choices.

    2. Hangouts with your chooms with a GTA 4 or Persona 5 style perk system.

    3. Better melee combat.

    4. An actual smooth launch.

  12. Intrepid_Chard_3535

I want a cyberanimal on my shoulder like Nix from Outlaws. One that you can upgrade with some crazy weapons and helps fight/hack, use swords, etc

  13. anti_vist

I know this post is about dreaming but as a bit of a counter point, and my honest wish for the game is that the writing and characters are the same level of quality as before. I think that’s a high enough bar for them to manage and if they do I’ll be very happy. Anything else is extra.

The way I see it is the first game is already huge in scope, and obviously people want more from the sequel, so good if that happens just hopefully not on the sacrifice of something else.

  14. I suppose a story that doesn’t put a narrative timer on everything. V’s story of being about to die was compelling, but didn’t quite jive with your ability to fuck around town, do random low level missions, and buy apartments all over the city.

I doubt they’d do that twice in a row though.

  15. PainWelkin

    1. FACTION REPUTATIONS where based on your background and the specific jobs you take, you have a better relationship with certain gangs. As in, they don’t shoot you on sight, you can buy specific items from them, etc. Yes, I know there are mods for this and gear tags (ie, wear Barghest uniform, don’t get shot by Barghest) but I want it to be a part of the game!

    2. I know it won’t happen but I’d KILL to do more CREW JOBS where different members have unique, specialized skills. Like, based on a robust class system. What can I say, I love a party-based RPG and I feel like there aren’t enough outside of the fantasy genre. I swear I shoot better when I have a choom encouraging me lolol.

    3. More VISUAL CYBERNETICS. It’s crazy to me how many Night denizens walk around like half borgs and V can replace their entire skeletal system with titanium bones but from the outside they’re just a regular looking person. I want to look. Like. A. Freak.

    4. DITCH THE ROMANCE subplots or actually develop it into meaningful character relationships. They’re so lackluster in game, they might as well not exist. Also make romanceable characters player sexual. Just do it.

    5. Speaking of NSFW content, LET US WATCH BDs lol. Some that aren’t people getting murdered in horrible ways. Or also some of those, damn, I won’t even be picky. But let me watch them.

    6. MORE DUNGEON CRAWLS. Phantom Liberty alone has three(!) and then there are like, no other in the game. Let me wiggle and wander through some terrifying, abandoned infrastructure as it collapses, there’s plenty of it around!

    7. MAKE LIFE PATHS IMPACT GAMEPLAY. Outside the beginning and like, a few choice Corpo options, it didn’t really seem to matter. A few bits of background knowledge here, a pithy reply there. The life path should act like a race/class IMO and fundamentally shape the player’s skills and interactions.

    8. EXPANSIONS. They really spoiled us with Phantom Liberty, can’t blame us for wanting more.

  16. Neat_Fee7592

More doors we can go through more buildings we can enter. More pathways to complete missions. Better stealth mechanics as good as Splinter Cell or Deus Ex when specialized. More cyberware, including more cosmetic choices. Replace limbs even entire body in chrome.

More in-depth net running. Allow us to jack into downed enemies to gain access to the enemy network. Let us hack into everything from cars to trains other people even. Let us take over anything with hacking. Billboards radio stations, I mean everything.

Keep things as mature as they are in 2077. Add more things from the tabletop. Let us have a branching narrative. Let us turn on allies or kill enemies if we choose even in the story. Let our characters truly be ours with our own choices. Flying cars as a taxi for a high price. Add braindances that are fun or stimulating. More options for outfits, attachments for weapons, mods for just about everything. Allow us to customize our cars like gran turismo.

  17. SirBoredTurtle

I want more weird cyberwear, funky stuff you can build around with tangible effects in gameplay, the vampire teeth you see posted here, the martial arts chip that one asshole kid in edge runners has that changes up your unarmed attacks, an extra arm. I want fucked up weird shit

  18. PrincipleWrong5709

    3 things!

    1. I want to be able to ask my friends that I meet while playing to help with a job. Like that one mission in Phantom Liberty where the soldier stole some generators and you either have Panama help him escape or call Rouge and River to help get more generators. It really makes you feel like a night city legend because you have so many connections to help you get shit done.

    2. I want mega buildings to actually be mega buildings and not just a gun store and your apartment. Let me explore the shopping district on the first floor of the mega building that I stare at every time I ride the elevator up. Make it actually feel like a little city in a building.

    3. Better mini map! Make optional quests appear on the mini map. I’m trying to just stumble across NCPD scanner jobs as I walk through the city naturally this playthrough instead of marking it on my map and following the blue line BUT MAN It’s hard to find some of these sidequest when you don’t open your map and mark them. At leave give us the option to toggle what icons appear on the mini map.

  19. Odd-Understanding399

Dual wield pistol, swords, and batons!

    ![gif](giphy|9w5ilhkms0OA0)

  20. ThatInternetBoi

    1) Better player customization. The player options are really vanilla compared to the NPC’s, what with not having real body type options nor crazy cosmetic cybernetic options.
    2) Gang reputation. Would help flesh the gangs out more if you could align yourself with one, get to know the hierarchy, and get unique quests against rival gangs.
    3) Crew-based gigs. Especially with the heist in Act 1, in which we got a crew and went through the preparation for the job, I thought more fixed jobs would entail crews and more elaborate planning.
    4) A more interact-able world. More car rides, please! Or let me plop down on a random bench.

  21. Kitchen-Ad3121

Drivable flying vehicles, bring back clothing upgrades/mods slots, more clothing options similar to what some NPCs wear like the LED light clothing, more skin options like the gold skins Arasaka employees have and/or different colors too, upgrades/mod slots for vehicles, add some cut content like the big casino that was scrapped with side missions or the space station The Crystal Place where you can explore just like you can in Night City. Or some character cut content like wall running, better and longer quick time events/combo moves sequences, more comprehensive hacking skills, I know a lot of people want this one(but frankly I don’t give a crap about it) is multiplayer mode. I’m sure there is more but these are some of my wishlist favs, well except for multiplayer I bloody freaking hate multiplayer but it would be a hit with most crowds. Lol

  22. More verticality in the free roam would be really cool. Cyberpunk’s setting makes it unique in the sense that the open world could be vertically dense too. Imagine something like the screenshot above or coruscant from star wars

  23. Frosty-Background420

Ever since I got really into the sourcebooks. I always thought about the missed opportunity to have the playable character be all of the punk archetypes (rockerboy, media, techie, fixer, etc). It would be a hell of a lot to ask but the role play potential would be crazy. I think being able to play through more of the 2013 version of night city would also be cool too.

  24. Giveidddawaynow

I don’t want to be actively dying the entire story. I loved the game and had a blast with the gameplay, but damn did that dampen a lot of my desire for future playthroughs.

  25. YoShebtch

Honestly, a more Robust Gang/Faction System. Maybe even Romances, Certain Gear you can unlock earlier or Bonuses tied to said factions depending on how you Navigate them?

Would be cool if there was a Dynamic Gang system that fought each other and fought over Territory, similar to how Assassins creed Odysseys war system works?

Definitely Deeper Romances and More Romances Please.

And please for the love of God stop gender locking Romances.

Oh and I feel like cyberpunk 2077 was limited on what they could really push out in terms of expansion content because of the whole V dying storyline. Would’ve been nice to got another expansion pack or two but we were hard limited on the time gate V practically had in terms of narrative sense and story pacing, not the actual game world itself I know you can basically play limitlessly until you the last mission before the choice. But still would nice to you know not because dying.
